RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

I have a backlog of articles to write for the main site right now. I don't actually know what order I'm going to publishing them in... :p

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

One Quick fact: This may or may not be the reason the construction has not started for the new attraction, but for whatever reason the original permit was not approved the first or second time (only a partial approvement) However, The permit was finally fully approved on July 26.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

I'm pretty thankful that Premier's Gen 2 trains are light compared to other trains from other manufacturers. Premier's trains weigh much less than Intamin's do, even with the same amount of cars per train (Maverick vs. Whatever the hell this will be called).

The part that still has me disappointed is the fact that this is still not a capacity coaster, and that Premier still has not stepped up to make a true 'people eater' like what B&M and Intamin have done a few times.

Note: I say people eater for any coaster that can have an hourly capacity above 1500 people an hour. A B&M hyper would be more of a people annihilator since they have had hours exceeding 1900 happen a few times, especially on Apollo's.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

That's probably not happening this year with Apollo's dismally slow and lazy operating team, but that's another topic...

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

I wonder since the trains will be longer that you have a better chance of
a rollback. I wouldn't be surprised if the cycle is longer due to that reason.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

It already rolls back. First launch is forwards. Then you roll back through the station and launch backwards up to the top of the non-inverting loop. Then you roll forwards and then launch at full power to clear the tower.

But I'm going to assume this ride will have a bit more launch issues with the same length of a launch track, but more weight to launch.

The Superman already has already perfectly stalled on the top and had to be pushed to get down.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

I think it'll be harder for the train to stall if it has 3 cars.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Having just ridden this ride at Six Flags, dual loading would be very strange to pull off. Actually, I'm not entirely sure if that's even possible. I guess you could have two queue lines that go to loading trains and then move the trains horizontally onto the track, but that wouldn't save that much time TBH.

Don't get crazy. Busch wants this ride because it's cheap. They're not going to do some crazy stuff to it.

I know that but I'm saying on the final launch what if it doesn't clear the hill and you get sent backwards. I wonder how much of a speed difference this ride will have.

I think I remember someone wanting a site plan...

Thanks.

First thoughts, the queue seems entirely too small for a ride with this capacity, I can guarantee you almost everyday opening year, the line will be outside the queue and into the plaza, but maybe it'll prevent too many people from getting in line. I see one tree, really? Other than that, it seems small and packed.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

I hadn't realized that the queue line would block off the other side of the tea cups... Just imagine people getting of the train, standing around watching the new coaster as well as people trying to get to RR. Yikes
