RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

The trains face backwards?!? (Starts to pray)

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that half the seats face forward, other half backward, so the launch sequences provide a see-saw experience for the riders.

I will also put all of my dimes on the ride's main track color being red or orange (carnivale colors).

Hmmm... bulkier supports? Unique trains? I'm not a physicist, but I think these trains must be substantially heavier than the other models.

They're not- I have the train design plans. There is a surprise though...

Premier either decides to do a 4 seat across train or knocks off the B & M Wing Rider train for this ride.

Just throwing it out there for consideration.

Just my thoughts.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Based on the diagrams shown, the max height is right around 227 feet. That is a pretty massive height for a coaster that compact. Is the Superman version at Six Flags that tall? (I keep thinking that version is between 160-175 feet high).

EDIT: I found on the internet that Superman: Ultimate Flight maximum height is 150 feet. That would either make BGW's version 1/3 bigger or the the number on the diagram is an elevation height.

Plus, the area for the LIMS/LSMS is pretty small. I would think it would take a minimum of 5 passes (3 forward, 2 backwards) to get enough momentum to get the train over the top to finish the circuit.

Based on the drawings, I could not tell if there would be a dual loading station for this. That would be the only way to be able to run more than one train. If not, then it does seem strange for BGW to go with this type of attraction; given the coaster capacity hogs in the rest of the park areas. maybe they are giving focus for those visitors that are the thrill junkies. Shrug ...

It's elevation height. If it was 225 feet tall it'd be larger than Apollo's and Griffon.

The launch only takes 3 passes to complete the circuit with Premier's traditional trains. One forwards, one backwards to the crown of the Skyloop, and a third one at full speed to complete the entire circuit.

Just picture it as a fancier version of Intamin's Impulse Coasters.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

It's not 227 feet tall, if you look at the bottom the ground elevation is at 77'-6".

227' - 77.5' = 149.5 feet tall approximately... so it's still a clone so far. Hopefully, the trains will switch up the experience.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

is possible that it could be wider trains or faster launches? there's gotta be some kind of gimmick right?
