RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

I personally was hoping for a coaster that would fill the min 42" height requirement void the park has had since the removed of BBW. Still hoping for the best for the park I just feel personally like the show entwined this really is not it

I also can not believe they are willing to get rid of Splashus Maximus. That games makes thousands on any given sunny hot day. I do suppose a new ride would be open more time out of the year and something like this ride would bring in more attendance, but still they are literally getting rid of an extremely popular late spring/summer game that can bring in lots of money.

I can gaurentee without a doubt that spashus Maximus would have been removed regardless. SEAS is anti water balloon and no matter how much money it made SEAS is/was forcing BGW to remove it as part of their sea turtle initiative. It would have been removed ride or not from what I have been told.

In reference to the low rider capacity on this ride this might be a win for the park as impatient park guest might be more willing to purchase ONE time QQ or even the regular QQ to bypass most of the wait.

I'd prefer to think that the park isn't slimy enough to justify the addition of a low capacity ride with hoping that it will boost the sale of QuickQueue. That said, after what we've seen lately, I couldn't rule it out.

I think everyone needs to watch the video that Redheadtanman posted of the German installation while paying close attention to the 1:30 mark. Check out the extremely violent lateral neck jerk just before the train gets to the top of it's climb. Drachen Fire revisited?

No OTSR's on this ride to violently bang your head on.

That said, I'd rather have Drachen Fire back!!!

I would also rather have DF back! I'd also rather walk off a ride with a headache from banging my head than receive a spinal/neck injury. I'm sure the ride has to at least be smoother than Premier's flight of fear at KD. The trains look pretty cool on this thing.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

This is just great. I'm already saving my quarters... I'm waiting for Americana to debut...

I'm not gonna lie. I think this would go well at a park like... KD where they have an abundance of coasters and more people-eating flats than you can shake a stick at. BGW is a large park with a rather small number of attractions.

My current problem with BGW is considering one can only watch so much celtic fyre or tio the only rides that remotely interest me that are unique to the park are Darkastle and the coasters. After riding most of them minus griffon and v-bolt all my life, There's not much to do. I love pompeii but it's rather short and the fountains now make me despise riding it.

I mean, busch's non-average rides that you can't ride anywhere else amount to 7. All of which a seasoned season passholder can have done before noon. All this is gonna do is create an amazingly massive line that will piss people off even more at the park.

Terrible move from ALL sides.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Hopefully it will be not be like Drachen Fire in terms of roughness (my apologies to DF lovers.) I've looked for reviews on the internet. There are lots of bloggers' reviews but I am discounting them due to not knowing if any incentives were provided in exchange for their reviews. Those on tripadvisor seem to lament the length of time waiting in line, but usually comment on the smoothness of the experience. Since I am local and can visit on rain-soaked days when few other people frequent the park I am hyped to experience a new coaster. This doesn't, however, seem like a great new attraction to attract multitudes to the park since their line-experience if not visiting at 'rope-drop' may be very disappointing.

Due to the low capacity there will probably be GIGANTIC Line stretching out of the Queue a line, on opening day. Which could lead to a disaster in Festa... So ill be at Escape From Pompeii with my life saving's of Quarter's. :aww:

There is going to be a gigantic line every day because of its shit capacity!

I'm trying to be optimistic about this ride. It is not too hard. If you think about it, Festa is themed after a festival, right? Festivals are usually cramped and have typical rides. I've been thinking it could add to the theme of Festa better. Now, that being said, I do hate the location and the fact that it's a clone. Busch gardens is a unique park, so they need unique rides. Rides that can't be found anywhere else in the world. Also, they easily could have put this ride in Festhaus Park. Yes, Oktoberfest already has a coaster and enough rides, but it is less cramped and would save a massive amount of trees. So, I'm on the fence about this one. I love it, but I hate it.

NO. The death of my beloved Splashus Maximus is officially TOO FAR!

Since I am one to see the positive sides of things, I think that it is at least good that Busch is trying out different coaster manufacturers. Not that B&M makes bad rides, but changing it up for a few times is a good thing... Except in the case of Mach Tower, or as I like to call it, The Dropping Potato.

I'm pretty sure this coaster was not to try out different manufactures... it was more of a "Who can give us decent looking ride for cheap?"

I wasn't saying that the only reason for this ride was to try a different company, but rather that they are not sticking with just one maker.
