RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Looks a lot like the color on Verbolten's supports, which is a honestly lovely color.

Except the track is more blue than it is green...

Will the signage colors be different than the original plans to matchh the track?

If Verbolten's plans where any indication it will all be identical except for the name of the ride. VBolts plans matched pretty much perfectly.

It's actually Biscay:

^ Is the ride actually painted with Sherwin-Williams paint, or did you just pick that particular company's swatch because it matched?

Commercial paint color naming is a weird and ridiculous little world of arcane psychological marketing. Don't get me started!

As a painter and scholar of paint & pigment technology I'm genuinely interested in ride painting, both from a technical and marketing perspective. I've been tempted to start a thread about it...

^ I'd bet that BGW's attraction coloring is partially limited by local ordinances and public approval.

Where is the track I might go Monday and would like to look for it then?

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

The track is NOT public. It is in the team member parking lot, or just outside the fence. The only way you are going to see it is if you work there.

So, I like the color. It looks pretty nice. Now, here is where I will get yelled at and hated, but I think that area looks better without the trees. I love trees, but in festa, trees just don't work for me. The trees being gone opens up that area better and opens the hamlet. When I think of a festival, I don't thik of lush trees, I think of open space and a few planters. Again, this is all my opinion.
