Are all these, "Well, I'm excited to ride Tempesto!" or "Tempesto will never bring me to the park!" comments really necessary? Posts like these are incredibly anecdotal, and they provide no tangible rebuttal to anybody's point. Like it or not, this is a site for theme park enthusiasts, whom I guarantee do not make up the majority of the park's audience. Whether or not a couple of enthusiasts will click through BGW's turnstiles is probably not one of the park's largest concerns.

The only way to know whether or not Tempesto really does its job of bringing guests in is to look at the park's attendance. And obviously, that's not something we have right now, so I don't quite see the purpose of "Well, it's bringing me to the park!"-type comments... at least, not when the same exact points are repeated over and over again.

Personally, considering how the relatively heavily-marketed Verbolten was still an attendance failure, I do worry about how the shockingly unadvertised Tempesto will perform financially. But until we see the numbers showing how the public as a whole responds, everything is pure, anecdotal speculation.

I'm not only speaking for myself, but also for a portion of the GP at my high school.

"It looks stupid" - He then went on to complain about how there's only 18 seats and a single train, he's one of the brighter ones.

"All you do is pretty much a big loop, you go up, twist, and then come back down" - Another friend.

"I didn't even know Busch Gardens was making a new roller coaster" - Blasted! He's figure out BGWs schemes!

"Why is it so close to Apollo's Chariot?" - that one was expressed with some amount of disgust.

And while I (coaster enthusiast) may not matter much to the park, teenagers during the summer sure do; and right now, I haven't seen a single person get excited for it at my school. I know I've been a debbie downer on the ride in this thread, however, I'm actually excited to ride it. I am just disappointed in its execution. That is all, Sir Joe.

Oh, I don't disagree with you in that regard, Trevor. Sorry if I came off as harsh. I too have found that virtually everyone at my school has had no idea that Busch Gardens even has a new roller coaster. I think I have made my opinion clear that Tempesto was a poor idea from the start, and that what could have been its saving grace, marketing, has been executed even worse. I only see a problem when people let their personal opinions masquerade as quantifiable evidence, because it is just as tiresome as it is subjective.

Well Joe you need to keep in mind what park is most common to students. For example, I live an hour away from BGW and nobody at my school has a clue about what goes on at BGW. But when I visited a few of my old friends from Yorktown, VA (20 minutes from BGW) they knew about Tempesto even before they saw it in person. Honestly in my opinion it depends on distance from the park to the school. Also, just asking, does anybody know where the line would go through Festa once the queue is filled up? Because looking back at pictures of the queue this queue is gonna be filled up really fast.

Oh my god, how many of you are still in high school?? I feel a billion years old right now.

I understand your concern, Joe; people's own excitement/boredom re: Tempesto doesn't speak at all to its financial success or suitability for the park. Anecdotes are not an argument. But on the other hand, this is an enthusiast forum -- let's let people enthuse a little bit! ;)

The close up shot of his face made me cringe so much. You can literally see the mesh that the fake mustache is a part of. That and he look about 18 years old.

I have made it a strict rule for myself not to "dislike" anything the park posts on YouTube. Therefore, I just won't do anything in regards to that video. In my opinion, it belongs in a playlist right behind the so-called preview for Fear Fair, which just consisted of someone walking through curtain flaps.

That being said, I am excited about the theming going into this small ride. When you think about it, they are putting more thought into this than Apollo's Chariot's theming. My only problem with the themeing is that they are deliberately making this look like it was put together last minute. Right now it looks professionally done, but after a while of being out in the weather elements it will fade like the rest of Festa Italia.

I don't think they rolled it back. Probably they just shot the clip normally, then reversed it in post to change the way the motion of the shot looked.

Sounds like a lot of work and editing for just a 30 second clip. It could have very well been shot early in the day when they are just launching it up and down the tower. Much like initial testing that took place on Pass Member Preview Day.

Lots of activity at Tempesto entrance at 11 am. Staff pretend they don't know anything of a soft open this weekend. Last minute preps were underway on the lockers. There was nothing blocking the entrance except two employees.

As far as I've seen no trains running as of yet.
