As I have stated before, that doesn't mean they shouldn't promote the ride at all. There is a school of thought that says bad publicity is better than no publicity.

I think I would of excepted there silence more so if they had started all the construction like late December. Obviously this is not the case and they just decided to hold their tongue which makes no sense because the general public saw it being built and knew of its dwelling. Not to mention its like a giant middle finger peeing onto Apollos Chariot. People have noticed. This whole hiding it would of worked really well for Verbolten because its barely visible outside the park. They could have not picked a worst location to try to hide it.

I guess my point is that, if they made their Howl-O-Scream mazes as mysterious as they are with dealing with Tempesto I might actually get scared in them.

It's very weird that they haven't said anything. Part of me wants to think that they know about the capacity issues (how could you not) and don't want to promote it like a major attraction.

Hi I'm.new to this forum but am familiar with the theme park world and it seems strange in my opinion that they would delay the announcement due to ride capacity. If that were the case then why even build the ride? I'm glad they are adding but it seems like a misfit for the park. It could also be that they don't have a media kit setup just yet and are still tinkering with the name and theme, but anyway you slice it it is very strange to be so quiet about it.

Well if you think about it they are getting a lot of free publicity about the ride even though it hasn't officially been announced. It is on here and I have seen countless FB and other social media postings about the ride and even some other websites talking about the ride. So there is a lot of buzz about the ride that doesn't exist. Sounds like to me that park is using a lot of the power of social media these days to generate buzz for this coaster which essentially costs them nothing. It appears that the marketing is going for the 40th Anniversary Celebration, but this coaster has generated a lot of buzz in a free way.

If that were the goal, I don't think they would have threatened to permanently ban people from the park for taking pictures of it from the path. If it is the goal, then they have done a lot to prevent the spread of information to their own detriment.

I think they got the free marketing in spite of themselves.

Wait, I think I missed something. They threatened to ban people for taking pictures of it?

The last time I can think of them adding a new ride and announcing after the end of the previous season, was Europe in the Air, and that was announced around Jan 28th, 2010. They also announced some concerts and Illuminights. But those were different times I suppose...

According to Wikipedia Busch Gardens also states EITA has a picture "eight times clearer than HD." So we can chalk that up as something against their norm.

Europe in the Air isn't visible from outside the park, so I can understand them being silent about it. This thing however sticks out like a sore thumb. Most parks lately post pictures about construction progress for new rides, Knoebels does it, Hershey does it, Carowinds did it, hell KD is doing it for a goddamn water slide. This thing is already built, and is going to open in 2 months at the latest (I would hope). Where is the marketing team on th-

Oh wait. They don't exist.

Wow.  At this point, those are incredibly disingenuous answers.  At least say- We're not going to answer your questions at this time, instead of a BS response.

Wow...I was in the park and took pictures of it being constructed.  I was on the Festa pathway and park staff was there.  No one ever asked me to stop.  I wasn't trying to take pictures over the fence or anything.  That is strange.  I did ask an employee about the coaster and they politely said that the park was not ready to announce any plans yet.

(Being sarcastic) I don't think it's a new ride at all, I think it's a new sign holder for the park advertising their hit show, London Rocks.  The coaster cars will be filled with glitter and whenever it goes over the top potion of the track, it will shot glitter out and sprinkle all over their signs!!!
