Agreed, I'm hoping most (if not all) of the building will have a nicely themed facade. They better not cut any corners like they did with DarKastle's facade. Which looks great except for the large visible un-themed section.

That is exactly what I thought about when I saw the diagram of the building that the coaster will pass through. With theming on the outside like Curse of Darkastle this could be beast, and I believe Busch will pull it off, unless they force me to believe otherwise. I just don't want an eye soar in a beautiful area of the park.

It's a park themed to a time before cars and a ride in a dense forest.

technically, the bumper cars are autobahn themed and are you forgetting le mans?

I think that the only concern I have about this ride is this building that they will be building. I just hope it's not to hideous. Busch Gardens is well known for their landscaping and the vegetation in the park, and I hope that this does not take away from that. I really enjoy indoor Roller Coasters, but I just hope this doesn't take away from the atmosphere of the park.

"Hey, look at Timmy the Tree!" or "It's Lightning McQueen!" are pretty terrible mascots.

I can't imagine them using a happy kiddie mascot for the ride. It would be something intimidating like all of the others. If they do something like an evil anthropomorphic tree creature I'm boycotting BGW forever!

I was being quite facetious when I posted that to point out the lack of mascot capability with the themes. No one wants anything like that.

I know the bumper cars have an Autobahn theme, and I've never really liked that. Plus, the Le Mans cars are not exactly Autobahn suitable, nor did they drive through an expansive forest. Additionally, the Le Mans race was held nine years before the first section of Autobahn was completed, though I know that means little. Plus, Le Mans is gone, so the park is now car-free.

To me, the dark ride section alone is enough to make me think that this isn't Intamin-made. When did Intamin make a dark ride? Same thing with the park calling this a family coaster. When was the last time that Intamin made a family coaster?

Just some food for thought...

technically though Th13teen isn't themed for families, the coaster is built for shorter people...

and Superman at Movieworld has a very impressive dark ride portion to its ride.

Intamin does make dark rides, they're just not great and usually aren't combined with their coasters. However, like KDcoasterMAN said, Th13teen has dark ride elements.

For some reason, our spell check accepts Th13teen as a word, but it thinks Williamsburg isn't. I think that's pretty funny.

Most likely I believe that the track will be the same color at Mach Tower, but if it isn't. I think we will see a dark color, because of the dark ride element. Anyone else have any thoughts regarding this?

From what I have heard there is going to be a mind blowing stunt happening in the event building, this is probably going to be kept a secret until it opens also I have heard all a mono color track theme so my guess all black to be hidden in the new black forests or some bright color to make it stand out

Could you tell us where in relation to this picture these buildings were?

I honestly have no clue what buildings your would be talking about- I'll have a look if I get up there tomorrow...

I think the building will right about either tree level are maybe a little shorter. remember they are probably digging a little deeper in to ravine.

Ok everyone, I'm going to say this right here so that everyone can see it: Getting the scoop is nice, but not when it endangers someone's livelihood. If you know what I'm talking about, then this applies to you. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, this doesn't apply to you.

Thanks for your understanding,

So, what do you all think of this:

Do you think that could be one of the "firsts" that the park was talking about?

I'm not sure what a mind-blowing "stunt" is on a roller coaster, but it sounds intriguing. It would be nice if the coaster was black, though. Black coasters are rare and cool, and it would fit the theme of the Black Forest.

Black would be a royal pain to maintain outside. It will fade fairly quick and require a ton of upkeep. That is why you see it more so on indoor coasters than outdoor.

They might be able to get away with a non-blue one depending how high it got off of the ground. You could never see BBW from outside the park. That being said, black or dark green would be cool. Depending on the effects in the building, black would make it look even better.

One of my favorite coaster rides ever was riding Millenium Force in the fog so you couldn't even see the track ahead of you (It brought tears to my eyes :p). That would be an awesome effect to have in the building.

The problem with having the track be black is:
Ok so we all know VA can get really hot and sunny...well black attracts sunlight and sunlight causes heat...heat causes metal to expand...expanding metal can prohibit the wheels from rotating properly...non-properly rotating wheels equals ALOT of shutdowns...a lot of shutdowns equals unhappy customers...and goes on and on

Problem with that theory is that there is a tolerance in the specs of the upstop to rail for that very reason.

Yeah I thought about that after I posted...I was speaking before I actually thought (were doing the whole metal expanding unit in chemistry class now so I think I was just trying to make sense of it...oh well)
