I have an odd feeling that this will turn out very similar to Drachen Fire just with Zierer copying Intamin instead of Arrow copying B&M. I doubt roughness will be this coaster's weak point though- I'm more than a bit worried about downtime.

That's probably just because I'm a pessimist though.

That's why I even mentioned Drachen Fire. There's a parallel with Arrow/Zierer trying something new to match B&M/Intamin.

However, perhaps the goal of SWPE is not to have sister coasters anymore. Perhaps the goal is to develop unique rides for each of their parks. Either way, this is a first for Zierer, so there's always a chance that it won't turn out good.

Unlike Swift, I'm an optimist though, I think it will be an entertaining ride that the whole family can enjoy.

Looking at Ziere's stuff in RCDB, I see maybe two that aren't expressly kiddy rides. I am concerned.

A covered bridge over the Rhine is disturbing as well. It would ruin such a great drop.

I'm kind of used to it by now, but I will never fully understand the automatic pessimism on enthusiast forums.

The covered bridge will not be over the Rhine. The drop will be over the Rhine.

We are internet geeks and thus have to be very critical of everything. :p

I wasn't saying there wouldn't be a drop, but if the bridge was part of the drop, it would ruin it for me IMO. Has there been any evidence on where the bridge would be?

The Rhine drop will be fully open? I'm fearing a "darkride with some roller coaster elements".

Should we just tell Busch to cancel the project now since no matter what they do it can't possibly meet expectations? People take a tidbit of information and make the absolute worse assumptions about it. The drop is not covered. The themeing looks really impressive. I don't know anything about Ziere so I'm not going to comment on what the can or can't do. A tremendous amount of work has gone into the design and development of this project, lets not kill it before we even know what it is.

I'm not going to hold judgement just yet...

though I do have concerns....

Like since this probably a first for Zierer, I am concerned for its reliability. I am also concerned over the idea that the coaster is reusing BBW footers and this may not be the best option...

I don't know. I agree that this would not be built unless BGW had FULL confidence in its success...

Even though BGW needs it, I hope this is not some glorified family coaster brocast for older audiences.. *cough* th13teen*cough* Backlot*cough*

Yeah, these are just concerns we have from what little we've seen from it so far. I realize it could still be a great ride, I think that the drop alone will make it worth riding.

I'm sorry, but I'm just irked about the idea of replacing a coaster that took advantage of its surrounding terrain and landscape with a practically indoor coaster themed after something as boring and mundane as cars on a freeway!

Last time I checked nothing has been confirmed about anything. We don't know exactly the theme. Saying the theme is cars is a MASSIVE area for interpretation. What if the coaster was based off driving down a German countryside back road? Like creepy back through the woods, stuff jumping out at you and you have to get away? That could work and it would be great to see being pulled off. But the point is everybody calm down.

This coaster could be themed off of Team Seal 6 and you guys would complain it wasn't badass enough.

My main concern is that this appears to be Zierer's first large circuit rollercoaster with more than 2 blocks, Their first, coaster with dark ride elements... It just appears to be really... Crazy... for them to go with Zierer.

Also in light of the new information we've received (especially the train stop in Germany) It seems expansion may be upon us, and the 2014 coaster makes sense. Why would they even consider a Germany train stop when the only feasible locations for such a thing arent open to the public for the majority of the year, and why would they open those areas if there is nothing there but walkway?

I have a problem with that one posters reliability. I mean I could say right now:

Hey guys I have new info on the new ride. It's going to be built by my 12 year old sister, have a unicorn princess theme and you'll be driving down a road with Malibu barbie!!!!

And whoever didn't know any better would think I was being serious. I'm not saying that what they said isn't true, I'm saying how do we know they're being honest?

**all the rest**

Ten years ago I would have had to agree 100%. I am going to remain optimistic on this one though. There is enough information out there on ride systems, transfers, elements, etc that I think it has a ton of potential... Granted it could still go either way.

All the rest about the train stop though; well said.

First everyone complains that it could been intamin. Now, it isn't an intamin and everyone is freaking out. Chill guys. This ride could have huge potential. It is obviously like nothing ever built for bgw.
