Only keeps your tower up and running for a couple of hours.

For operating times longer than that, you better call a doctor cause no one will believe it.

Was I the only one who left disappointed? I was genuinely pissed off about the whole coaster situation.

Uh yea, I am Mostly on your side here today. I got their around 10:45, and the only coaster that was running was Loch Ness monster in all its glory! And the people who are saying Apollo's got paint, I didn't see it. First of all it was still that faded color, and I rode it in the front once, and I still saw rust on parts of the track. So if it did get painted they must have painted it a very "sun-dried" purple, but considering I still saw rust on parts of the track, I don't think so. Did anyone else notice this?
When I got to Verbolten it was running, and only had to wait 10 mins. Everything was fine I didn't notice anything different, on Verbolten. While I was waiting in line for Verbolten, Alpengeist started running. So I got on it, but did anybody notice something. Oh! Well I did, with my tall Uncle. So we get on it and he puts his harness on and it fit. Oh! But wait it didn't. Apparently, from what the ride op told us they updated the computer over the off-season, and now the harness has to go down 2 "clicks" or "locks" or else the train won't clear. So after waiting 40 mins for the front row this is because every other train was having the same problem making the loading process at least 2 mins longer per train, we only got the middle row.:dodgy:
While we were in line, I noticed Griffon started to test after being down the whole morning/noon time. So they opened it and I rode it, but as soon as I got off they closed it down, and it never reopened for the rest of the day. Also, that reminds me a few minutes after I got off Alpengeist they closed it down to work on the Block Brakes for an hour or 2.
Overall, I was very disappointed how poorly the maintenance was today. However, I got to ride LNM 3 times! Also, there was not even a sign to say that it was LNM's 35th birthday, very disappointed with that. Dark Castle's special effects were all working today, the fog, preshow, and everything else. Oh! For some reason I spied on LNM the whole day and I don't think it broke down once, it was the only one without any maintenance problems. But seriously BGW don't open if you cant run, but 1 coaster for half the day.:dodgy:

I saw them working down near appolos block brake when I left at 4. Griffon was up for maybe an hour total. It was really annoying today back tracking so much just to get on the coaster while it was running. I mean it got so bad me and my gf actually rode EITA. You know it's bad then ;)

I understand where y'all are coming from. It was just frustrating because I drove and hour and a half to get there, had limited time as it was and only got in 6 rides total for the day. Next weekend I won't care about rides bcuz I'm going for everything else. But I was just trying to have a good time with my gf today and it just wasn't happening. Also did anyone else notice how peppy and happy all the workers were? That's bound to wear off soon...

To be honest, I can give them a pass on the downtime issues. Pass member preview is just a marketing term for a dress rehearsal. If you go in expecting a perfectly smooth day, you're going to be disappointed.

Well, If they think that this should be a dress rehearsal than they are going to have a lot of complaints, because these are pass members, and aren't afraid to complain. So, if BGW ever thought this then they are stupid. These people that come today will be a lot more mad than the regular one time visitors.
Kudos to Nessie for being the only coaster that didn't break down for a substantial amount of time today. However, did anybody notice the new thing with alpie and the updated computer system that I posted in my last post? Also, anybody know why Griffon was down for practically the whole day?

Sensor issues on Griffon. And yeah I noticed it. Also noticed today they were calling out row number-seat letter when the harness wasn't down enough. Don't remember that from last year. Kinda felt like some of the people were embarassed by the look on there faces.

Newer B&M's have the system that tells the operator which seat's restraint isn't down closed enough. Dominator at Kings Dominion has it and is used about 2-3 times each time I'm waiting in line.

Yea that was what Apollo's was doing, and Apollo's also had a substantial amount of people who couldn't fit in the harness too. But Alpengeist was terrible, the line took twice as long as usual, let's just wait and see what happens on busy Saturdays and summer days, I don't think that will be good it will make the line 2 hours long. I really think they need to enforce the try on the seat rule, because it was ridiculous. Whatever, I guess they have to work out the kinks now hopefully it will get better.
