This is Oktoberfest blew my expectations out of the water. Watching it again now.
Preview Day 2013

We had a great day out there today! Only show we saw was pet shenanigans because it was my sons b-day and he got to ask Stevie the math problem. I fit in both AC and Alpen for the first time! The normal opening day "glitches", but all in all, weather cooperated, I got to meet CK, was upset we were late for Nora's meet, but I am sure I will get another chance! This forum has helped me appreciate this park even more and I thank all of you! See you guys around BGW!!

It was much better than the 2010 version and about on-par with the ones before that. As you may expect though, it does sorta just feel like it was placed on top of Entwined's set. Don't even get me started on Entwined...
I know, I read CKs intersting explanation of Entwined. I also wanted to know if Apollo's Chariot got repainted.
Awesome day! Little bit of rain early on, but fairly nice weather the rest of the day. Got to meet some cool people:
- Nora... thanks for your enthusiasm and the cute park era cards
- Zachary and his fancy camera
- Shane... for showing me where Zachary was hiding in the new Emporium
- Alpenghost... nice to have a face with the potty mouth
- cotnoutlaw... cool guy, nice hair (like mine), and smart about having lunch in the parking lot with the fam.
- I think I'm forgetting someone or two. Remind if you met me today please
I go to the park around 8:45 to explore the new signage and whatnot. Supposedly told by an employee that I was the first guest to take a pic in front of the new fountains out front. BONUS! Did everything I set out to do. Started and ended the day as usual with the glory that is the LOCH NESS MONSTER! And my baby girl got her first official ride on it as well today! Open to close... Excellent Preview Day.

Yeah, it was a bad day for our friends at Bolliger and Mabillard... Also the only ride I rode all day was Loch Ness Monster, rode it twice.

Not sure what I was expecting, but a little disappointed that there really wasn't any fanfare for the Loch Ness Monster's 35th birthday. Did anyone notice anything for it?
They did announce a 35th Anniversary Drink bottle, that was it. I was disappointed as well in that regard.
The park isn't to great with ride anniversary's. I mean look at BBW. For it's 25th anniversary they shut it down.
Oh, one bit of news that might be interesting. The park did not stagger open today, so every part of the park was open at 10. I asked and was told that they won't stagger open on Saturdays. I'd wait until this can be confirmed though.
