Just got a email from the park newsletter. In the news section it says this:
Kings Dominion Newsletter said:
BIGGER, BETTER PLANET SNOOPY COMING SPRING 2013!
Construction underway now!
Nearly 14 acres of family-fun awaits next spring with our Bigger, Better Planet Snoopy! Planet Snoopy will feature at least 12 new and re-themed rides, new live shows, healthy food options and more. Check out exclusive updates on our website.

Only one thing that catches my attention on it: Construction has begun.

Also by the sounds of that there will be at least two new rides. Ten rides are being re-themed.

You're #1 and #2 are slightly off. RIR clearly deserves to be in the top spot. Its fan involvement, giveaways, and constant updates on news with what is also happening elsewhere in Motorsports holds it high in first.

The concept video showed significantly more than that, no?

In that email they said 12 new rides and re-themed rides. They have 10 rides being re-themed so that leaves two for being new. But they said at least so it seems like they only have two confirmed new rides.

Are you talking about all those stinking emails and calls they keep making after I bought one pair of tickets? haha. I had to unsubscribe.

Season ticket holder. Good chance that's why I do not get those. At least they stay up on offers to keep loyalty... unlike other places.

I just thought it was funny. They were trying so hard to get me to go to the Sept 8th race. I think it is interesting they will actually give you a call from a real person.

I'd rather get a real person than a machine, like KD and BGW :p

The park just posted some Planet Snoopy construction pics on Facebook.

Nothing major yet but it looks like they are tearing up a bunch of stuff.

Yeah, I understand these pictures can be a little depressing, especially if you are old enough to remember the park from when it opened in the 70's. But, I feel that it will be a whole "like new" area this coming spring. I am excited (and a little jealous) for the little ones to be able to experience all this new stuff.

Speaking of the pictures, it took me a few seconds to recognize the area where the Tree Swing once stood and former Yogi/Treasure cave being taken down! Wow!

It reminds me a little of when BGW changed the Hastings area to Kilnarney (sp?) and the Irish theme.

I'm actually trying to figure all that out. My first visit was when I was around 8. But I always enjoyed Yogi's Cave. I'm trying to identify some stuff that I was have never seen before. Like Virginia Clipper. I don't remember there ever being another boat.
