Pizza Parlor was open today. The inside looks really nice, and the reversed entrance and exit gives it a much-needed defined queue space and smoother guest flow. The pizza is no longer flatbreads but what looked like the same pizza they have at Victoria’s (which I passed on because while the pizza is fine, the single slice + two breadstick meal is the worst deal in the park).

I noticed the Pizza Parlor was open too, and tried the pizza tonight. Unfortunately I can confirm that the pizza is the same as Victoria's.

When Victoria's reopened last year, they added the piadina, as well as a baked pasta option. And though Pizza Parlor's kitchen is smaller than Victoria's, they have had some other options over the years, where I was really hoping for something more than just pizza with this 2025 refresh (where we can find the exact same pizza down the way at Victoria's).

So though the new Pizza Parlor refresh is beautiful. As @Mushroom mentioned, there are way better food options available at the park.

For those curious on the new menu:

I should’ve gotten more pictures, but there’s some artwork on the inside and an Italian phrase in lettering by the registers. They’ve also added new themed signs outside the building! Love to see it. (I have a sneaking suspicion that AI had a hand in the artwork, but it looks fine to me. Hard to tell for sure though.)

Overall, visually this refresh is beautiful. But I’ll probably be eating at one of the park’s restaurants that gives a better bang for your buck (or meal plan swipe).
I can happily confirm that this artwork was digitally painted without the use of AI!

The pizza is one of the worst values for the money in the park. Something like $18, or a meal plan credit, for one slice of pizza and bread sticks is ridiculous. Hopefully this will make the pizza here a better value.

The cynic in me says that’s intentional because people love pizza so much that sometimes the cost is secondary.

Tried some kind of Detroit or thick pizza at Dorney 1.5 years ago. Horrible. Really like a good Detroit but any style can be great if made right and cooked until magic happens which is extremely unlikely. Getting pizza at a theme park is like wearing shorts to Winterfest because you always have worn shorts to KD.

I recently got the chance to try the new Detroit style pizza at Pizza Parlor. And though I honestly can't say it's the best Detroit style I've ever had, it is way better than I ever expect to find at a regional park.

Both a cheese and pepperoni option were offered the day I went. And though you are only given a single slice, it's quite a big slice, and very filling. You also get two bread sticks (though just one is pictured below).

What I love most about this new offering is the pizza variety we now have at the park: Victoria's keeps their normal (not-at-all-good-tasting) round pizza they've been serving for years, and Pizza Parlor gets this completely different option; so no longer are the two eateries serving the same exact pizza.

Of note: I used to love the fresh-made pizza's at Pizza Parlor from years ago, stopped going when switched to the (not-good) other version, but now will actually consider Pizza Parlor as a legit dining option while at the park... as if I really needed that though, as KD already has so many options, where the food is actually "good" (which I certainly can't say for most other SF parks in the chain).

Glad to hear it....I will have to give it a try the next time I'm in the park. Sadly, the only places I ever ate (and was satisfied with) in recency were Outpost Cafe, the little pretzel place next to Pizza Parlor, and Auntie Anne's. I miss Mac Bowl so much. 🙁
