I started saying the B&M standups should be converted to vest restraint standups after riding Firebird. (though a conversion would need to be 3 wide).

Standing can increase intensity and vulnerability -- make you feel like it could fling you off. Unfortunately I don't know of any B&Ms that feel like that, but Shockwave did. Shockwave was also an appropriate size (and simplicity) to need the intensity.

Headbanging is a definite negative on all B&M standups, which should be eliminated by vest restraints. Neck/jaw banging should be eliminated by non-Togo restraints. Hopefully B&M will finally see fit to include movements suited to standing, such as airtime. Launching should be good.
One thought I had when I saw this was that this could actually be B&M getting closer to what the TOGO stand ups were like -- and I sincerely welcome that. I honestly really enjoy stand up coasters and I loved all 3 of the Paramount TOGOs a lot but the B&Ms just have a headbanging issue that makes them hard for me to ride. These restraints could very well be a revival of the stand up -- as long as people look at them with an open mind. Too often preconceived notions ruin something in this industry.

Hmm. Between this opening in 2023, and my finances a little slimmer than I thought this year, I might have to put off my Florida trip. Unless Kumba is to be removed after this year, I don't want to miss out on an iconic ride.

I always felt B&M's stand-ups and older inverts didn't do anything that couldn't be done with a regular sit-down. Alpengeist had the theming, Great Bear had the unique support requirements, but only around Talon and Silver Bullet did they start doing maneuvers that showcased what an inverted position could do better. Maybe this coaster will be the best stand-up and show the world what a stand-up can do better.

I’m an idiot. Lol. Posted something that’s been posted.

Anyways. Will be in Orlando in May next year. Looking forward to this.

This. It's super easy to see in the Maintenance Bay section of my Project Penguin article:

Sorry to bump the thread but would anyone know if the park or anyone is streaming the 2023 announcement live?
