If this is a suspended coaster from B&M as the press release claims, that's a MASSIVE deal. My guess though is that the press release was written by somehow who doesn't understand the terms they're using and this thing doesn't swing.
More broadly, this is another very messy announcement from SEAS. Tremendously poor communication, very content-light, seemingly very poorly organized, no logo, sparse concept art, no video, incomplete specs, no layout, etc. As of now there still isn't even a webpage live. Not a good look at all—and it really does impact the reach these announcements have significantly.
As per the addition, it looks great—whether or swings or not. Name is a little cheesy but it's fine—no real complaints. Always basically impossible to complain about any new B&M addition to any park to be honest. That's doubly true when it's replacing an off-the-shelf Wild Mouse and a long-defunct Intamin flat. Killer addition for BGT.

I can tell you what it reads like:
They outsourced PR to a company that doesn't really know the amusement industry and gave them some bullet points that they needed to come up with the press release after learning the information about 5 minutes earlier.
The concept art shows the same train from Happy Valley which doesn't swing...so I expect it's just poor marketing language. That being said, the Happy Valley models have a 45.3" height requirement and this has 42" so it's certainly possible there have been mods to the train (but more likely the restraint system than the suspension imo).
I'm guessing that SEAS ordering Pipeline and Penguin Trek as completely new models for B&M has people (myself included) getting their hopes up that this is also a new model and not the existing family invert model, not that getting the first B&M family invert outside of China would be a bad thing.
This is great! Much needed addition, and with a good amount of theming, audio that works every ride for at least 5 years, and proper operations so the trains don't stack repeatedly, SEAS has a winner!

Holy crap, I'm starting to have hope in SWE again. Both Penguin Trek and this are phenomenal additions to their respective parks.
I guess we’re getting that Phoenix themed B&M invert that Storyville Gardens talked about after all lol

Gotta agree these 'announcements' have been very poorly executed. An Instagram post with one concept photo and a couple sentences is a teaser, not an announcement... We know more about the yet-to-be-designed Avengers ride at DCA than we do about this 'officially announced' ride that's actively being built and opening in the spring. And the result is that this is flying under everyone's radar, even on enthusiast sites.
On the other hand, I'm excited to see a ride at BGT with what looks like might be an actual theme! The park still needs a dark ride, but at least this isn't another unthemed off-the-shelf scream machine.

Gotta jump in and say that I agree here, as of 3pm ET today the website for BGT still doesn't reflect anything about the new 2024 project. Certainly a big miss to capitalize on extra traffic to the site especially when all the social handles for the park are already messaging to the new 2024 project. Yikes!
Well this is definitely not what I expected, but I am happy with what is to come. However, upon looking at the one rendering that the park provided, if you look at the parts of the land that are underneath the track, there is literally nothing there. Now, I do understand that this is a rendering, and they might have not actually put theming in the picture to save on time for releasing it, but if the ride opens with there being no theming except for just the entrance, then that will be a huge upset (Also the rendering seems to show that the queue will be VERY short; wonder if the lines will ever reach past the entrance sign for the ride on busy days).
Along with Zachary, I also believe it to be a press release author error/misunderstanding of inverted vs. suspeneded. I would be EXTREMELY surprised if these vehicles physically swing side to side, even a little bit like the Vekoma family models. The artwork shows a normal bolted connection of the seat 'arm' to the chassis, like the existing Family Inverts in China. It's artwork, but it's well-detailed artwork. I'd believe it.
And FWIW, there's no confirmation Penguin Trek has the bouncy seats. Will have to wait until (allegedly) the reveal IAAPA to see that.
This is hilarious if it doesn't swing. All media outlets (Bay news 9, FOX 13, etc...) reporting that it swings. Looks like bad PR finally coming back to bite SEAS in a BIG way...
Days after a brand new roller coaster is annouced. We don't know if it swings or not, we don't know the layout, we have just one image, and the ride is non-existent on the park's website.
