My plans are on permanent hold right now. Our dog sitter, my mom, broke her wrist slipping in the snow and I don't think she'll be able to watch her. :( I'm disappointed, for sure.

BGW will watch your pets while you are at the park (for a price- I'm guessing). Maybe that's an option.

I sure hope I can make it, its hard to say at this point being that I'm in Raleigh and will as always have to make a day trip of it. I'll keep everyone posted!

I've got my ticket for breakfast with Jack Hanna on the 20th. Just a way to get into the park a little sooner. Anyone else planning on going to the breakfast? (The tickets are $18 each)

Dont plan on breakfast but I do plan on getting a meal pass. 15 bucks for an entree, side dessert and drinks IS a good deal. 18 for a meal within 50 feet of a mildly popular guy, not so much(unless you would consider talking to any old zoologist exciting, I could understand then).

I don't know, by my math, it seems like a good deal:

$8 for the meal + $3 for eating near an old zoologist + $4 for starting at the back of the park + $3 for getting into the park early = $18

Sounds good to me. :D

Yeah, I was surprised to see the price for the tickets. Even if the Festhaus is full and Jack Hanna is sitting on the center stage, I'm satisfied with getting in early and being all the way in park when it opens to everyone else. And, the thing is, I don't recall seeing anyone but me saying anything about the breakfast (I don't recall the park even advertising it), so it might be as empty as the Griffon breakfasts were.

So, I just wanted to remind everyone that the meetup on Preview Day is at 1 at LNM. I'll put up another reminder in a couple weeks, but I wanted to go ahead and post a picture of myself so people know who to look for (the only person here who would know who I was is Nora). So, this picture is actually a two for one. If you see either of the people in this picture you've found me and/or my fiancée and you're in the right place.

Actually, I've seen you and Nora before (both at the closing of BBW & both before I had any clue who you where). I remember looking at Nora and thinking, "Now that is a coaster nerd." (seeing that she was dressed in Wolf EVERYTHING).

As long as you bought the regular season pass (not the summer fun pass) you'll be able to get in. You'll have to go to guest relations to pick up your actual pass (just take a printout of your order). I suggest going to the park prior to the 20th to pick up your passes, since I'd imagine there will be a good length line at guest relations on the 20th. Once you get your pass, you're good to go.

um, prior to the 20th the park is closed. just get there between 9:00 and 9:30. You should be good.

Guest Relations is open, I've gone prior to opening day to get my season pass in the past.

I don't think we'll be going for pass member preview day just because we've all got work and school that takes priority.. BGW is a 13 hour drive for us or a 2 hour flight that costs an arm and a leg, but we're talking about coming up for spring break.

Funny thing is?
When I worked at the park, I saw Chris a few times. Funny how you run into people and don't even realize it. :p
