The park is marketing this as another reason to be a pass holder. Looks like they are trying to apease us with the seemingly lack of perks of a pass.

EDIT: A GP member commented saying it is nothing but a Extra Magic Hours knock off. For those who may not know, Disney offers "Extra Magic Hours" to guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels. "Extra magic Hours" offers guests more time to play in the park before it opens and after it closes.

Here's my question. Will the lines for Verbolten or Mach Tower be shorter at 9:00 than they were at 7:00. In short, will pass members in one hamlet be less crowded than pass members and GP in all hamlets. I'm considering going, but it could be a cluster-#•€{. Thoughts?

You know what? The lines we saw weren't that bad. And as far as the crowd goes, it wasn't too bad either. It was actually very pleasant. :)

Pretzel and I were talking about it on the way home and we both agreed that the crowds were perfect. Plenty crowded enough to justify the event but not crowded enough to cause any real lines.

O, for the record, no one I know had their pass checked. I heard they checked passes as people got off Verbolten for a few minutes and they were checking them at the two entrances to the hamlet, but everyone who was inside seemed to be home free.

The attendants at Verbolten's Entrance were checking for passes for about the first 15-ish minutes. When I went back I showed them and but they didn't look and said I was fine. I asked and they said it was because at that point Security should've already gone around and cleared out the non-pass holders and it'd been redundant to check everyone's pass every time they came back. I think for it being just the one area it makes sense. I've been to Disney's Extra Magic Hours where they check every time, but there the entire park is open. Also, the rides' entrances were shut off for about 5-10 minutes after 8 to help weed out the non-pass holders.
