Thank you for the video, Zachary. I felt so embarrassed and uncomfortable watching it. And, I wasn't even there. Thanks for taking the hit for us!

GWAR, movie, and song ripoffs? Surely.
Will he stop without meaningful consequences? Doubtfully.

Turns out you get to sample EVERYTHING!! It's a sampler for possible inclusion in F&WF 2014.

A nice lady let me take a picture of her food. Thanks!! ;)

I'm guessing the one in the top left is sauerbraten and spätzle - any idea what the rest of them are?

I missed out on the picnic yesterday. I'm regretting it now from what all I've heard and seen. Better than the jumbo corn dog and fries that I had instead.

I ain't gonna lie, the picnic was nothing special. Not sayin' the food was bad or anything; it just wasn't special. People are a pain in the @$$. ME me me me!! Sausage kept running out. Hard to get a seat in the shade or pavilion. Did I say people are rude yet? The fountain is pretty. I have pics. Will upload sooner or later.

I went yesterday, thought it was pretty good; I got there about 1215, and from what I heard, they had sold out the event for yesterday. It wasn't packed as I thought it would be (lines went quick). They did run out of chicken and sausage a few times though.

Scott's presentation was the best.

This is a joke, right?

I actually stopped the video several times and then forced myself to finish watching it. It was like taking really nasty cough syrup. I think I should probably get it down, but it is all I can do to control my gag reflex, and after I need to drink something to get the gross taste out of my mouth.

The other sections weren't great, but they didn't make me cringe either. Plus: cute armadillo.

I think Scott has the best presentation each year because he actually puts effort into making his presentation. He makes his presentations much more interesting than the others. Everyone else just gets up there, struts for a few minutes with their fake smirks. Scott gets involved with actors and props, adds so much to the presentation.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

He may have put more effort into it, but at the end of the day, I just kept hoping it would end.

Y'all know I am not that person who jumps at every opportunity to criticize the park and its execs. But in this case, I am sorry, it was terrible. Childish, bordering on insulting. It felt scripted to entertain grade-schoolers.

And I didn't really feel as if I learned anything from it. The point of the presentation (I thought) was to convey information. What did we learn, except that the Blood Banquet is going to resemble some Disney meets Twilight train-wreck? Basically it was a series of amateurish skits to introduce a bunch of characters. Where was the information about the actual event, itself?

Honestly I came away feeling that he either doesn't understand HOS, has a very low opinion of his "guests," or just doesn't like Halloween very much.

Also, he didn't have an armadillo.

But thats the thing, we already knew everything because we pay attention and dig information up. The announcement is to convey information the your typical unknowing pass holder. For those who didn't keep up with us here, they were told for the first time about Terror-tories, they were told for the first time and those experiences and that is what it is about. Don't expect new information with your holding all the cards.

All he did was recite the web page. I would have had that information with or without this forum.

And I would hope that he knows more than we do about an event he is planning and running.

There is so much he could have done to show us what the atmosphere of each Terror-tory will be like. Instead of dumping confetti everywhere, he could have brought some of the sound and light effects into the Festhaus. He could have given us back story on each of the areas. He could have talked about the mazes...at all.

He had an opportunity to really peak everyone's interest and generate a buzz. The Terror-tories should be amazing. And someone who is really into them, should have been chomping at the bit to get everyone else excited about them. Instead, he apparently had the local middle school write a skit for him.

Also, he didn't use armadillos.

But look at how his presentation has generated much more of a buzz than anyone elses, and how things interesting, but I guess it comes down to, my own personal opinion on the matter being I enjoyed it because it kept me more entertained and intrigued than any other presentation.

I guess if you accept that there is no bad press, sure. But pretty much all I learned is that I should continue to avoid the shows in the park, and that I certainly don't want to be anywhere near the Blood Banquet.

But once again, you are overlooking the value of armadillos.

The shows are totally worth viewing especially the Howl-o-Scream shows, and more so Fiends. I think that one is a BGWFans favorite.
