Other than all the blatant and subliminal messages for Coca-Cola advertisement, I really enjoyed the lounge. Most of the main park executives were there to talk to people. I have to admit, it actually made me feel special. Now that Coca-Cola has showed the park how to pamper special customers, maybe they can do it on their own.

I think Busch Gardens does a pretty good job with the sponsorship, with a few exceptions of course. I am not saying that I dislike Coca-Cola, but they have a tendency to make even the classiest parks look trashy by pushing their product to the limit. Aside from that hideous photo op in front of DarKastle, I think the only sponsorship that is overdone is Polar Pathway.

I dont really live close enough to warrant having a pass but the picture was cool it was nice to see something on here that i wouldnt probably see other wise.

As far as I know, behind the counter they had a basic coke products fountain, meaning Coke, Coke Cherry, Diet Coke, perhaps Coke Zero, Sprite, Hi-C, Fanta, etc. You can ask for anything that's available.

So, is this like Club Cool at EPCOT where you can sample a variety of different Cokes?

Haha, my husband asked if they had the Beverly back there.:-/

It would be cool if they had some of those international sodas to try (kind of a nonalcoholic version of the old beer school where you tried various AB products). But it's just your standard "on tap" sodas you get anywhere else in the park.

As a fun card holder (my bad I'm 16 and can't afford to pay for my own annual pass which I'd use no more than a fun card), reading the discussion on page 1 was excruciating. How in the world are you people up in arms because one or two non pass holders were let in to a coke lounge. This isn't some high and mighty instution of social class, its a freaking theme park. Get over it.

Obviously they shouldn't let one passholder bring an entire group of us fun card cheapos in the lounge, but what's the harm if its a group of passholders or a single passholder bringing in a single friend with a fun card. I'd be more tempted to buy the annual pass if I were allowed in with a passholder friend because surprisingly, just reading "Coke Lounge" on a webpage of listed benefits of being a passholder doesn't make me want to throw my money at Busch Gardens.

Ok i dont have a pass either as I cant afford it as well. So i get and understand what you are saying about the fun card. But i dont think it was meant that way. I think telling them to get over it is (again IMO) an overeaction. I can see ppl being upset that they seem to be losing their perks. Because they pay the extra money for those special items. To give them to someone who pays less wouldnt be completely fair IMO. While i dont think if i had a season pass i would be spending all that much time in the coke room, i dont agree that they should let other ppl in if they are CHARGING others for this. I think, and this is based off of what i have read here of course, that this is a VERY sensitive subject as many feel that BGW has slowly been taking away things that were "pass member only" and making them GP or offering them to Fun card public. People take money very seriously, and if they put out the money for the "Perks" taking them away or offering them to people who dont pay the same isnt fair. I dont think it was meant to sound that way its just a very sore subject.

I find it odd they wouldn't offer the Freestyle machine here.

I thought it was strange at first, but then I realized how many ways you can also mess up a good drink with those. Coca-Cola probably wanted guests to get an un-altered taste for their products.

Also, somebody mentioned having to re-enter for refills. I went there on Saturday and was told by one guy "Have all you want." Later, I think I overheard a lady tell a guy something like "This is your last refill. You will have to re-enter."

Every time somebody says 'coke room' now, I can only think of Peter's picture above.

It would make riding the rides more fun after taking a bump in the "coke" room.  Can they extend the "coke" room through HoS?
