wow, all of this talks about moving aa1 is going on with crazy ideas while I believe someone will buy & save the park

If someone takes over operation of the property, it will probably be pared down to what it was before Fun Spot came in and tried to make it a proper amusement park. ArieForce One is simply too big of an attraction for a park of that size, and I don't see any way that coaster remains operating at that location.

It was a comically poor investment for the park that was fun while it lasted. It needed a LOT more to draw people in, and to actually succeed at drawing people in, to ever justify an addition like AF1.

I don't see any way that location keeps operating without the coaster, unless they can actually sell AFO for real money, or the bank sells it at a huge loss. Either way, if the bank can take a loss and someone brings in new money the park could continue.

Hey y'all, just so we're on the same page. I think my spreadsheet shows that its possible to find a good candidate for relocation, its just going to be a rare thing. I never wanted or intended to show its impossible. The general sense of the coaster community has been rather optimistic on the money involved. Just trying to help folks ground conversations in realism instead of blind speculation. Worst case, it helps people cope with the worst outcome. Best case, it gives people an understanding of whats had to happen to get it relocated.

Ryan the Ride Mechanic just posted a new video discussing this - basically he was of the mind that the main issue is that the coaster is still owned by an operational park/FEC chain, and is currently a liability instead of an asset as far as the books are concerned. Perhaps FunSpot's best course of action is to move the ride to storage at one of their other locations for now then either sell it or install it later when the money makes sense.
