The surf coaster is exactly what I would expect out of BGW five years ago: a big installation putting everything into the ride hardware and nothing into presentation. I'm glad BGW is leaving this direction behind.

The surf coaster would work better at Kings Dominion. Replace Dominator's trains, paint it black or green, and rename it Shockwave.

I hope they have not ditched the Voltron style Stryker for this Surf Coaster entirely for the eventual next big coaster project Its like the Gwazi sister “bait and switch” (/s this is feels speaking not my business mind) for (it’s a great ride!!!) Big Bad Wolf 2 in survey form in a smaller period of time.

If you enjoy Pipeline that’s great but I don’t care for a ride I have to ride defensively because if I don’t there’s a risk I get smashed down on my manhood and I’m NOT into that. The Mack Stryker from my perspective seems like such a fun zippy ride model with very open seats and RMC style elements and I simply don’t care for the stand up coaster design in any fashion.

They haven’t ditched anything, they’re just considering multiple coaster models.

@Nicole put together a follow-up article to her previous survey piece recapping this new round of survey options, here:

I couldn't agree more with her that the treatments presented for some of these rethemes miss the mark for me considerably. Thematic upgrades are good, but sending the sun through a dark tunnel seems completely off-base.

1.) Pantheon needs help, do it.
2.) We don't need a surf coaster (AT ALL).
3.) Apollo could use some updated queue graphics or landscaping, but really nothing more. On-board audio that works would be neat.
4.) A new Verbolten storyline will somehow come up short and odd, just fix what's broken.
5.) A new Corkscrew Hill is tempting, but will somehow come up short and odd. Ireland needs a half-decent small-footprint coaster, IMO, plain and simple. Something with leaping bunny hills and twists for the terrain that's already there. "Leap-rechaun," anyone? 😁
6.) An exec from the park needs to visit any number of parks in Germany or Switzerland, etc. Plopsaland would be first on my list to take some good notes and come back and get to work.

Park needs to unify its message and theme, not using AI to create ANY of the options above. Once that starts, the park is lost.

I am all about Ireland getting a eurofighter or this bobsled coaster billed as the modern wild mouse and yes it almost has to be leprechaun themed Bobsled Coaster

More surveys are coming out. I received another about perks to motivate me to visit more in June. It was more of the same: Busch bucks, quick queues, all day dining, picnic, etc.
I got this one too. It was very interesting. The questions even changed based on answers. Example question.

No options to serve food that is better than my kids school cafeteria food? Good food options would make me want to be a member again.
You don't find a lousy $14 a month of fun at Busch besides bad food? Thats what keeps you from getting a pass?

Food used to be a major driving force for many people to frequent BGW. It's not surprising to me at all that the decimation of culinary has lead to a reduction in visitation. I think I can even say it has impacted my visitation, in fact.

It's fine if it's not a priority for you, but people have all manner of valid reasons to find value in a theme park—and BGW has been neglecting many of those for years now.
