Here are my thoughts on the current park surveys in terms of what is needed next at BGW.

2026: First and foremost, I think the most obvious next attraction is going to be lemans 2.0 as Zachary has already pointed out. I’m given the way that united parks likes to group attractions in one area of the park as of recent, the obvious choice here is to also add the replacement flat ride and da Vinci’s garden. Whether or not this occurs in the same year or in subsequent years is up in the air

2027: I think if the da Vinci’s replacement attractions aren’t in 2026 and they will certainly be in 2027.

2028: could be a toss of you given the rest of the options. I can totally see them going a coaster route here as we have had a lot of coasters as a recent. I could also see them maybe revamping verboten here, maybe given the concept art of Hansel and Gretel. I just don’t see them building a brand new dark ride building at this point I guess another option would be for them to pull the plug on dark coaster, but I don’t also see that happening yet.

2029: i’m a little hesitant on a solid option here as I could see them replacing the simulator, although I prefer them not to do this attraction at this point given the current outcome of the new SeaWorld Orlando attraction. I could also see them going with the Pompeii replacement another third option could be at coaster as mentioned in the survey. Ireland perhaps if possible.

2030: I am just going to leave 2030 open as a blink for now for my thoughts as I can see any of these happening for this year as well that hadn’t already happened.

Overall, I think that BTW needs to focus on other things besides roller coasters for the next few years. I think the park needs to be thinking about some of the revamp projects replacement projects and also needs to be thinking about how to scream event building spaces as we don’t have too many to use now. I also think the simulator building replacement will have to take an account Hella cream as well as it’s one of the last few remaining indoor maze spaces available.

It’s a survey, the park likely wants to plan their next major addition in the future and see what moves the needle for guests. I don’t see the logic of “they should focus on other things” when they’re strategizing and planning for the future. They can do all the things to improve the park AND think ahead to the next major capital investment. They are likely on a perpetual basis focusing on all of these things. What order that happens is up to them when the time is right and the funding is available. It doesn’t matter what year “BGW Voltron” happens if they go that route but in no way in hell will I be saying “no” to that decision if the addition if it’s even 50% as fucking awesome as Voltron looks.

Hershey just did it? When youre a park based around families and kids then you dont NEED a major thrill ride to bring people
They can still plan their next big thing? Just because they’re planning major capital projects in the future doesn’t mean they’re just like “okay no park improvements/other capital projects ever until that’s built.” This survey could be for 2027, 2037, or 2029 we have no idea, they probably haven’t even figured out what year yet.

Also everyone is entitled to what they think is best for the park. None of us make the actual decisions, and certainly none of us are “better” than another for certain opinions over something zero of us have control over. It’s a theme park they make improvements, they build and remove rides. We just have to hope whatever they decide it results in the best BGW we can get.

Yea true we dont know when

On the topic of surveys, mine had this come up. I guess in the way I answered questions didn't lead to any big coasters. I was asked my opinion on flats, animal attractions and the cars. Not sure if this is the concept or just generic AI art but the phrasing of Eruopean Race cars is interesting and may be an indicator of direction.

The AI is so off putting. Gotta love the car with mismatched colored panels and the kid driving it having two left hands or the parent having the arm length of NBA players. Also the description reeks of AI buzzwords. I wish they would just use existing photos of similar attractions or a render from a program and not put it into an AI art prompt.

Sesame Street Idk GIF

I don’t mind the use of AI - the issue I take is this looks like what you get out of the free ChatGPT for an image that you didn’t ask for the image to be refined with those issues. The paid version when you point out those problems can make some really good images for the intent of doing things like this.

Personally I like that they are at least putting the effort beyond no image or using stock images (I got a survey like this once for a golf resort and they used watermarked stock photos in their survey).

EDIT: I’m confused by these dislikes TBH. I’m calling out the poor use of AI here. You’ve likely seen plenty of things like this that have been done with good use of AI. I don’t mind the use of AI in things like this, as long as it’s well used, which this isn’t.

So are you disliking that AI is used at all? Or the fact that I’m ok with the use of it done correctly?

A mid-height, launched, multi-inverting, thrill coaster? Where have I heard that before? Worse capacity Pantheon certainly wouldn't be my first choice.
Does Voltron have worse capacity than Pantheon? I guess that’s me assuming BGW gives 25% of a fuck about capacity that Europa does…..(“do you have what it takes to brave the storm? Hmmhm let’s find out” echoes in my head. Honestly they should change the end of the spiel at the ride end to “you’ve escaped……from the line….”)

A dark ride, beautiful animal exhibits, car ride, Italy flat expansion, water coaster…

I love just about every single thing on these surveys. The only one I’m not keen on is the Europe In The Air remake. Hell to the nah on that one Busch.
