The latest buzz online is that reports are coming in about workers being spotted trying to fix Intimidator 305. Perhaps we’ll see it reopen in time for the Haunt. Anyone know more?

If you're heading to the park, please let me know. Thanks!

Good news from Kings Dominion today… it seems Intimidator 305 was spotted making test runs Wednesday morning. This means the lift is fixed…and perhaps we’ll see it open to the public once again this weekend.

I doubt it will be open this week, but maybe next weekend?

Nothing has been announced. Just speculation so far. If Screamscape was correct about testing being spotted, I would guess the ride will be ride open as late of next weekend. They could open it this weekend, but I doubt it.

The Crypt tested for at least two days and it was just a one of the 4 motors that was replaced. This is the entire motor that was rebuilt so I suspect there will be more than normal testing. However don't be shocked if you see it open Saturday or Sunday.

Which brings me to another point. If you're heading out to park, can you please report on I305 for me? If you don't want to openly come out, you can Send me a Private Message or Send me an email.

The other coasters with lift motor troubles managed to get them fixed rather quickly. This makes me wonder if something more is wrong than just the lift motor.

Many folks have commented on this issue on many other sites. One entry was from an engineer and he thought the part(s) that failed could have had a defect/flaw in its design. Intamin had to go back and re-design the part(s) in question so they would not fail so early in their operating life.

I believe that conclusion as being the reason for the long delay in getting I305 back up and running. If it was just to replace a part as is, then I would not think the ride would be down more than 3-4 weeks.
