Sounds like there is something major going on with Intimidator if they are correct.

I wonder if they will try and rent a 300 foot tall crane to pull the train off the lift or just leave the train sitting on the lift until it gets fixed...

Of course, I'm going for my first trip ever to KD tomorrow, and I was so excited to ride this. This really stinks, that's just my luck. Great, just Great.

If it's still there then it sounds like they are just going to leave it up there until they can get the motor fixed.

When you go can you check to see if the train is still at the top of the lift?

I'll try to, but I'm not promising anything because I don't have that great of a memory, but hopefully I'll be able to.

As of yesterday (Saturday - 7/13) the silver train was still 2/3rd's of the way up the hill. The closest you could get to the ride was the FOF plaza. You could see the lift cable under tension going from the top of the hill to the ground. So, the Screamscape information concerning the possibility of a gearbox issue is plausible.

More bad news for the while Intimidator 305 problem… word has it that the ride is closed while they wait for some kind of custom gear box part to be made to repair the cable lift hill system. While this is expected to take at least another week or more to come in, the park may have another dilemma. To access the area to repair the lift, they may have to remove the roof of the room it is in, and to complicate things even more, they still need to figure out how to get the train DOWN from where it is still perched near the top of the massive lift hill.
Just a guess on my part only, but if they can’t somehow winch it over the top, I’m guessing they’ll have to get a massive crane in to bring it down piece by piece. I’d suspect that crane’s that tall are hard to come by on short-notice as well. Stay tuned for more updates, I know the locals are keeping a close eye on this one.

It was there today as well. I decided to get off at the Doswell exit just to view it myself. I ended up at the parking gate and had to beg to turn around :D ( not really they were extremely nice about it). Getting the train down doesn't seem to be at the top :)D) of their agenda.

Just received this image that a friend of Jewlzx2 took while she was at the park.

Going on 7 days with the silver train being stuck and there doesn't look to be any crane of any sort on site as of yet.

From the looks of it, they don't have a winch at the top of the lift to try and pull the train over the top.

So I guess we will have to see what happens with I305, whether they do the repairs with the train still on the lift or if they will try and get it back into the station.

I really would hate to be so hyped up about a ride that it's the only thing I would visit a park for...

I don't see that coaster as a reason to visit that place. I really don't see any reason other than absolute boredom.

I was at the park all day yesterday. Train was there the whole day. I did in fact see a white truck which looked to be carrying some kind of large metal equipment down by the cable drum under the drop. So work was getting done. Unfortunately I was on Rebel Yell (which it self is only running 1 side for some reason) so I wasn't able to get pictures.
