I think some of what you're seeing is a lack of spillover from Safari Village, especially when Volcano was operating though.

And tbh, there's plenty of food/beverage facilities within maybe 2 minutes of the I305 line so it's not like the station is back where the first drop turnaround is. I will agree that there could be a closer bathroom, but unless it's a dire emergency the closest one is still not all that far away either.

A few weeks ago when queue-times was working better, it was showing often a similar wait for I305 and TT, but often a longer wait for Anaconda than either, so who knows. I've seen a 15 min. wait for I305 many times, sometimes longer.

I went a few Saturday’s before Halloween in 2019. The line was basically at the queue entrance, maybe a little out. That was literally the longest I have ever been in line for any ride, I believe. It had to have been an over two-hour wait. It was a longer wait than I ever experienced for Millennium Force or Top Thrill (though, I am comparing a day at Kings Dominion near Halloween vs. a normal random day at Cedar Point).

Obviously, that day was unique.

Opening weekend this year was like that around 2 in the afternoon (I believe it was Sunday but can't remember which day I went)

The Kings Dominion apps queue times is worthless. Both times I went this season they posted a wait time in the morning and never changed it the rest of the day. But I agree the only time I would expect a significant line for I305 is a Saturday during Haunt especially in October. It's really sad when Anaconda has a longer line.

I was too, though it was down when I arrived at the park that Saturday and never saw the light of day for the rest of that weekend.

I remember arriving at the park in the lot and glancing a post here saying it was blistering through its course like crazy, so I was super-amped, but it must have gone down by the time I made it inside. My last ride on it was that insanely long wait on that October evening in 2019. :(

I managed to ride I305 a total of 3 times; before it closed at 6:00pm on 4th of July. Arriving at the park; me and my buddy did Dominator and then made our way over to I305. We didn't know how the day was going to turn out, so we rode it twice, before venturing over to Soak City. Eventually we made our way back over there and discovered it was closing early. Thank god, we had gotten in line.

As for ride performance, it was good. I'm not sure if it's still running at peak performance after so much downtime. Why do I say this? I only ride the back rows of I305. I remember, the blacking out vision after whipping through the first turns, in my past experiences on the ride. For some reason, it did not do this to me. Mind you, I had not rode the ride since 2014. Not to mention, the back row use to give me this adrenaline rushed feeling in my stomach as you are whipped over the first drop. I did not get that, this time. Is the lift hill cable pulling the ride up at top speed? Someone, please help me understand.

I think a couple pages back someone mentioned it seemed to be running up the lift a bit slower, but honestly cant remember if that was this or skyrush.

Aside from the ride pace though, a number of things can affect how easily you 'gray out' from +ve Gs. Namely, being dehydrated. Perhaps last visit it could have been a combination of any 3 factors of a heavier train, faster lift, and your body's current status that caused you to gray out more. Also maybe nostalgia giving you a bit of overenthusiasm, but i doubt that cuz i305 tries to kill everyone.

Buddy. I've been riding I305 since it was first built. I use to always get the gray out sensation each time I rode it. And that's after being hydrated. There must be something different with the ride. These things always interest me because I'd like to know what specs of a coaster determine a lot of these things. But as you said, weight could also be a factor. There were not many people on the train because they had just opened it, when we had first gotten on.

I've also been riding since opening weekend, but there's too many variables to point to in explaining which one is the largest factor as to why your experience changes on the same ride over time:

Your body aging
Your body mass changing
Your body shape changing
Minor differences in seated riding posture
Your hydration levels
Environmental temperatures
Train to track friction
Track maintenance
Train (wheel assembly) maintenance
Lift hill speed
Mass of train differences (load)
Track reprofiling (after the first season)
Trim adjustments (during and after the first season)
Train modifications (harnesses most notably the first season)

Trim adjustments (during and after the first season)
Also wanted to point out, that maintenance adjusts the trims on the final bunny hills throughout the year.

Beginning of the season = less trims due to it be colder
Sometime around the beginning of summer = more trims due to speeding up
Fall = less trims due to it be colder

Sometimes you can find that sweet spot where maintenance hasn't added the trims before summer season because the temps are still too cold in the mornings. You can thank Virginia's weather for that.

Good point - I was thinking something along those lines though wasn't sure if/how that's done, but also thinking of when they trimmed the first drop too

I think there's more subjective change than actual. The lift speed affects its top speed less than 1 MPH, and early in the course there will be little change due to anything else. Allegedly the trims do relatively less when the train hits it faster, but magnetic induction does more when faster too. Weight improves both, though. The worst thing to me about the trims is just the moment of feeling braked, since what little of the course that remains is still satisfying.

My first ride Sunday was a little unimpressive, maybe a bit distracted, the reride the same seat was much better with insane pull over the drop, and my front row ride was fantastic.

If you ever go to KD and that arrow is on 75+ just leave what on earth are you doing in that sea of humans?

(I'll stop having fun with this now I promise).
