I'm not sure if it's ever been discussed before but the overall layout of Intimidator (Project) 305 is essentially a giant Intamin Mega Lite. The order of elements and directional changes are the same.
Pretty sure that's somewhere in this or the construction thread.I'm not sure if it's ever been discussed before but the overall layout of Intimidator (Project) 305 is essentially a giant Intamin Mega Lite. The order of elements and directional changes are the same.
Probably paint work that can't be done while the ride is operatingAny ideas on why 305 is down today? There are benches blocking the entrance to the plaza and a ride closed sign. Looks pretty permanent.
Jesus, I mean I don't think the issue was any larger rider last night. Me being a bigger guy myself I always for some reason like to look around and see if im the biggest in the station and when that happened I deffiently didn't notice anyone that boarded on the larger scale. Im 6'3 250 and gotta extend my seatbelt a good bit on it and they never had any restraint issues with me. Coulda been a freak sensor issue though. Still doesn't seem right. I don't remember dispatching this slow ever on the ride and i been riding this a few times a year since it openedIntimidator is actuallyfunobnoxious when it comes to it's restraints. All of the restraints have minimum down sensors, however the operators don't know which seat is not down all of the way if there is a larger rider. They can look and have a pretty good guess who is the larger rider, but the system doesn't tell them the exact seat that is causing the issue. However, if it's not obvious who's restraint is the cause then they might tell everyone to get off and then back on. They also do this to verify if the sensors are working. If all the restraints are fully down and no guests are on board, then maintenance will need to come fix the sensor.
Also, Intimidator restraints are annoying in that when the board operator unlocks the restraints, the entire train unlocks. And the board operator can't lock the restraints either. Weird right. When the board operator unlocks the restraints, they will relock automatically after 18 seconds. So even a quick open of a restraint, they have to wait the full 18 seconds before rechecking the entire train can begin. And if there is only 2 operators on the floor, they have to walk all the way back to the front and restart if someone in the back of the train needed assistance.
Are those bad? I haven't been on that in probably 8 years. Not sure if id even fit it or not![]()
Thanks for the flashback, I don't miss getting a slow flash.
Still better than restraint checks at Flight of Fear.
