Finally got out there to try the beef. It has good flavor, and the cuts of rotisserie beef are more consistent. Once in a while, I'd get a cut of the prime rib that would be extremely fatty, like 30% or more.

Outpost has lost the sausage and added chicken tenders to the menu. I know on face value this seems like a downgrade and it certainly is food quality wise but I will defend the idea as a good business move as the one complaint I commonly heard was it wasn't kid friendly enough fir a theme park. I have actually seen families purchase the side option and ask for 3 servings of Mac and cheese cause it was the only item they could get their young child to eat. Other then that serving size looks comparable to last year despite what I have seen others post on social media. I really wonder if some of the reports circulating last night were just inexperienced staff under serving.

This is a really good take and 100% changed my mind on that menu update.

Well said.

I'm still getting the chicken every time though now that the "Prime" rib is gone. Best portion size in the park.

5:30 on a fairly busy Saturday evening and Outpost has ONLY fries and tenders to serve guess the Six Flags experience starts early.

Looks like all the signs and serving materials are out for the normal food — maybe crowds were busier than expected and they either ran out of food, or just didn’t prep enough?
running out of food that early in a day is a massive failure of planning and leadership and should not be considered acceptable.

Can't find it now but I saw a post on FB saying the oven may be broken and that's why it's just tenders and fries

If that is the case some signage or notification to guests might be in order. I even politely asked if anything else was available or would be later and was simply told this is what we are serving tonight. Also I would be skeptical of such a claim given that multiple different cooking things would have to be affected for ONLY fries and tenders to be available.

I ate at Outpost last night (Saturday) and I was shocked too, on tenders and fries being the only option. However I can confirm (just like @dsdl posted above), from talking to the staff, the reason was due to their oven being down.

Fortunately as my son and I were waiting, they brought out a batch of shrimp; which my son got with fries, and I got with a minuscule serving of potatoes (as the fries, and a very small batch of potatoes were the only sides available):

I would have assumed with their oven being down, they would have closed the restaurant last night. However as Jungle Market Eatery is still closed; Taters, which was open last Saturday (5/11), but closed tonight; and Chicken Shack also closed (at least when I walked by it last night); they likely had to "make do" and keep at least one restaurant open in Jungle X for the evening.
