Great footage of the park and its attractions in the early 90s….and a certain theme song near the end.
Carowinds Powder Keg Flume originally had an upward spillway dropWow! -- At 1:45 Le Scoot has the uphill section in it! I never knew it had that. The only ones I knew of were Great Adventure's original flume and Kennywood's. Kennywood had the only one that wasn't removed...
I don't know if this has been posted yet, but this is some amazing footage of the park's opening day back in 1975. It's neat to see what the park looked like in its first year before the Oktoberfest hamlet and Nessie were built.

Great video taken probably during opening year, cool shots of loch ness area pre loch ness and new France
Pretty sure right around 2010. If I remember correctly England had the secondary path open past the opening of Forest of Fun.Anyone know when that path shown at 00:11 next to England Skyride was removed? Never knew there used to be a path there. Also it looks so odd to see the full Skyride stations without the trees around them. They look so naked
I'm not talking about the path near the bathrooms/behind Squires, that ones still there and is just used as a back area. This video shows a path right next to England Skyride that I've never seen before that's definitely LONG gone now.Pretty sure right around 2010. That path was also removed in 2010. The path behind used to be always open.I'm not talking about the path near the bathrooms/behind Squires, that ones still there and is just used as a back area. Both paths existed that long? I remember the other one, especially since (at least pre-Covid) it was open occasionally for very busy weekends. Google Earth shows the Skyride one gone at least in 2009 and it doesn't look to be there in the 07 imagery either although it's blurry and hard to tell, so I guess it was removed a bit before the other was closed off? That path was also removed in 2010. Yeah, something with forest of fun opening and drawing people back thereBoth paths existed that long? You mean the petting zoo that was closed around the time of mad cow disease and hoof and mouth?Growing up, that was the line for the skyride. I remember thinking it was weird when they took it out because FoF was open. Anyone else remember the petting zoo that pre-dated FoF?
Yes, I forgot it was a maze/area for a while. Petting zoos are a nightmare for bio-security. As a gentleman farmer now, I avoid them like the plague. Its a recipe for bringing something back and infecting my animals. You mean the petting zoo that was closed around the time of mad cow disease and hoof and mouth?
Also, I recall it was used as a HoS maze location for some time, though I recall it was more a general scare area than any particular maze.
