Actually, I did enjoy the plants in that flower bed, until I saw Open Casket. Then I was like, I don't mind Open Casket being there. Plus they have to take the plants out each year anyway because of the 50 ft. Christmas Tree that goes there for Christmas Town.

The park is very good at adding and getting rid of plants. So have plants in spring and summer, then take out the plants for HOS and CT.

It went from where Mach Tower is now over to beside the Carousel in Rhinefeld

Using the maps posted on the forums, the bridge was taken out sometime between 1989 and 1997 since it appears as Oktoberfest bridge" in the 89 map, but the current pathway shows in the 97 map (no bridge)

I believe the park retained some of the black metal archways on the side path going toward the airbrush stand. Either that or they're fancy streetlamp thingies now. EDIT: The black archway at Darkastle is still around. It held Vampire Point's sign this year.

I used Google Earth to look at some historical imagery, and it looks like the bridge was removed before 1994. It's there in 1989, but gone by 1994. Note, this image quality is pretty bad, but you can see the bridge.

I think that is the bridge where we used to wait for Octoberfest to open, so we could be first on-line for the Spider.

IllumiNights may be dead, but the monstrosities that gave us live on. All of the IllumiNights 2013 animals have taken up residence on the DarKastle side of Oktoberfest.

Immediate steps to take after hearing this news:

1. Locate nearest garbage can
2. Imagine the snail, frog, turtle, and all their friends sitting in front of DarKastle's menacing facade with the depressed suicidal fireflies handing overhead
3. Utilize said garbage can for the inevitable stomach illness that follows
