I wonder which ones their gonna open. I haven't been since the 6th and Operation Splashdown (still a shitty name) looked to be pretty close to completion (the sign looks great y'all!), but even if it is ready to go now I doubt they would open it at this point. Is there a specific amount of slides they can open? If so would they continue marketing Jungle Falls as a river so they still have an extra slide spot open? Or does it have to do with the type of slide? Because before the rule was that we couldn't run slides with water, which is why we could have the Coconut Drops and a few of the kiddie slides open. Because with that stipulation gone I don't see why they couldn't open all the slides. I have so many questions.

Here's some trivia I learned. There used to be different colored mats for these slides. The color of the mat you were given corresponded to your time slot for park admission. This way staff would know when your time was up.

The slide is complete. The only thing I saw not complete in September was some concrete work and testing. There are some extra pieces to the slide in the back lot. I wonder if they redesigned a portion?

The Minor Changes threads used to be pretty helpful for BGW and KD—I figured this was a good solution for smaller updates regarding Ocean Breeze too.

According to this Twitter account (not affiliated despite the similar name), Ocean Breeze is adding a large video screen to their wavepool this year:

I'm really glad to see it sorta integrated with the themed facade behind the pool too. That will make all the difference.

Just saw this posted for Ocean Breeze……this is what i’ve been saying WCUSA needs to do for a long while. Whether it’s for members nights or open to park guests this would be awesome on a hot summers night.

I am considering a trip there but I noticed all of their slides have 250 as max weight. I am a little under that at the moment but close. Can anyone enlighten me as to what enforcement they have I don't want to spend the money and chance that I might get stuck with just the wave pool and lazy river.

They ask you at the top of the slide, they should say “the maximum weight for this slide is 250 lbs, do you exceed this requirement” and if you say no you can ride. On operation Splashdown they will ask you to step on the scale with the group your with and/or individually. The scale is accurate so if your under 250 you shouldn’t have a problem.
Thanks I under but not by much so I was concerned about weighing in on ever ride and if there was an error or something.
