RE: Project 2018: Family Raft Ride

I'm going to make a wild guess that it didn't open in 2017? I can't imagine that it would take that long for a slide to get built...

Given that they dont have the same deep pockets that the larger parks and chains have, it is not actually surprising that it is taking them a great deal of time.

It definatley stalled for this season for whatever reason. I was there a few times this year and nothing happened with it. I even asked life guards about it and they were clueless. But, it certainly reads as the same exact ride that they first proposed in the Pilot article last year.

RE: Project 2018: Family Raft Ride

They’ve been marketing this ride quite a bit on their social media, but I can’t help but wonder if it’s actually going to be up for the 2018 season? The park opens in May and when I went for a job interview about a week ago, I didn’t see anything going on in the proposed location. Does anyone know when projects like this start construction?

EDIT: just checked their website

Needless to say this seems like a SUPER exciting addition for Ocean Breeze. I'll definitely be making my way over there next season...

Oh, and on that note, how much interest is there in updates on this thing? I'm considering contacting Ocean Breeze to find out if they'd be onboard with having BGWFans out for some construction coverage.

Well VMSM has another parking lot now. As I recall the aquarium used to have people park in the Ocean Breeze parking lot not the other way around

I'm was a little bit confused. And now I'm just sad.

When I saw proslide mammoth I was envisioning the proslide hydromagnetic mammoth.

And then I saw the innertubes... And I was like, wait those don't look right at all.

I mean, a vanilla mammoth is still cool. But a mammoth hydromagnetic would have been a new anchor attraction and a huge deal.

Anyone (perhaps @lightninlady ?) Know what the prices on the canopies were in 2019? Website doesn't have any of that info published sadly.
