RE: Night Beats (2012 to Present)

Hey, I loved the guy that played Ulrich, but when he came in, I don't remember seeing him before that role. Maybe we'll get someone new who will own the role in his own way. I'm not going to complain about casting yet.

Two differnt sources inside park. Anyone here knows that saying too much can expose people. But, that is also why I said we HEARD he was not going to be back. We hope he DOES come back. For Gabe's and the fan's sake. We have supported him for years at the park.

In 2000, he played Captain Dingy in Rockin' the Boat in the Magic Lantern Theater before it became the Abbey Stone. He was in at least Starlight Orchestra before that around 1998. He left for cruise shows after American Jukebox and Monster Stomp in what seems like 2006 to me.

To see how performers felt about working at the park back then, look at the girl on the far left. To see how they feel today, look at the girl on the far right.

May or may not be good news about Gabe...

Don't know if most people know this but the music you hear in the show is a full big band ensemble. There are 3 to 4 times musicians on the track as there are live musicians. Not that this isn't done at other places but nowhere to this extent. Plus the musicians that are live at these other places actually play their instruments. Some that are hired this year don't even play that instrument. Don't be surprised if they have to play the full track this year. Night Beats Kommotion! These are the tricks Scott has resorted to since no one wants to play with him. I can stay home and listen to recordings and not waste $80

RE: Night Beats (2012 to Present)

Before Killarney Kommotion, the park has rarely resorted to that type of thing. I know that the pre-recorded track for Night Beats makes it seem almost useless for performers to be up there. The only thing that has distracted me from being annoyed by that in the past, are certain instruments like the drums, which mainly are still pre-recorded but they can be implemented into the show as live instruments. Basically, all of the instrumentalists are able to throw in some real playing from time to time to make it look more convincing. I would not be surprised if they go for full track this year either. However, I would at least like to see a live drummer, or other essential instruments, similar to what they do in Celtic Fyre. All in all, it is still a good show. I just think the cast will have to work even harder to work around those barriers.

Can't wait for this show! Definitely one of my favorite theme park shows. Only saw it in 2012, not in 2013
