It may be a lot more fun to actually ride it, but that video about put me to sleep lol. I think the ride could be better if it had a few steep hills

I know this is just my own quirk, but I really prefer long, straight drops. That is my basic objection to Alpengeist: the banking ruins it for me.

Yes, the video is a poor representation of how fast and fun it is. It is. A really fun ride, probably in my top five now. You have to ride one to really embrace it.

Yes Rpcoaster, capacity could be a real issue, but if they made the ride long enough, they could have a lot of trains going. That really is the only downside to an alpine coaster. :)

They are a lot of fun to ride!

I rode the Alpsee Coaster in Immenstadt, Germany a few years ago when I was visiting my aunt and that thing went on forever! It's almost two miles long.

You won't see any steep hills on these rides. These are close to the ground and meander down the side of a mountain.

I would support this. Looks awesome, and the length of the ride is nice. How many trains can be on the track at once while spaced out?

I still think the park needs a Coaster like Outlaw Run! An Alpine coaster would be okay, but they need a woodie and they have the forests and the land to make an epic ride!

Maybe if BGW was located in the mountains it could happen. There would have to be some serious terraforming done in Williamsburg and ain't no way that's happening.

The only US parks I could see doing this are Knoebels, Lake Compounce and maybe Dollywood.

I knew it wouldn't work at B.G. (Since the place we went to is a small, family-owned park on top of a mountain) but I thought I might as well bring it up anyway. :)

Actually they have cars that can sense if another car is too close so they will slow down automatically. I saw this at IAAPA last year. I can't think of the company that creates them though. Ill post if I can come across it.

Thats what she said... anyways, Maybe we could see a water coaster type of ride, much like the Kraken? Or maybe, but defnitely not in 2015, they will invest in making a whole new expansion, with a new dark ride, like HP in UF.They could have Greece and have a ride with the greek gods and what not, so you can have all these ride elements, wind, water, air, fog/smoke,strobing, sudden movements, etc. Or, if they wanted to, just somehow manage to add that to the Festa Italia section. Same Gods, different names.

Kraken is not a water coaster, it is a floorless coaster. Journey to Atlantis is a water coaster. A very fun one, I might add.:)

I think a prototype B&M would be a great addition to the park!
As cool as this would be, I think we should have learned our lessons with prototypes by now.  Do we really need another ride to join the "Mach Tower Club?" :p
True but think about it BGW has three B&M prototypes in the park right now and they were all huge successes Alpengeist was the first invert with a zero car,Apollos was their first hyper, and Griffon was the first floor less dive machine

I think we can say with confidence that since 2013 we have NOT gotten any B&M prototypes. Instead BGW bought a Premier clone and is now working on a GCI woodie.
