Honestly I think this new deck is a great idea. I love chicken parmesan and spaghetti, it really is good food. The trouble comes when the theater gets packed during popular shows with people who aren't using the tables. Where do I sit to eat if I just want food and don't care about the show. My biggest concern with all the eatery/theaters is people who go for food lose out on seats because of people who are there just for the show and don't use the tables but take up space.

^And contrary-wise, the area reserved for just watching the show, isn't enough space for just watching the show.

It's generally why I always skipped any show in that theater, because I felt bad for taking a table when I'm not eating, but there's not exactly room for those of us who just want to watch the show.

Not to mention is uncomfortable sitting right up front. The direct sunlight makes you overheat. Plus the the fact that you're so close to the stage, you don't know what to focus on. Because something will move in the corner of your eye, and you'll focus on that. Constantly trying to refocus your attention elsewhere. Not to mention possible eye contact with the people on stage. /shudder

The deck will be helpful for those who want to skip the show. But, the problem will prolly still end up being about the same for those who want to watch. :/

But seriously...

Did a little looking around (ninja-like) and snapped some images that may help you visualize the new deck area a little better.

Just saw an amendment to the original permit. Four concrete lighting structures and two french drain will be added. Any idea what these concrete lighting structures look like/might be?

All vehicle traffic has been blocked off in Italy all January. The area has been expected to get very congested with the construction of the deck; however, come february the area should become more clear with the deck hopefully nearing completion. More of an update as thing progress . . .

Just guessing here, but I think it will be similar in size probably somewhere about the size of the deck behind the candy shop maybe?

About this big:

The deck is estimated to fit near 60 people at one time, and the primary purpose explained was so that during the Food & Wine Festival, they could accommodate more people for the Italy booth.

So, I'm a little confused, this deck extension is going on the eating area across the path from the theater?
