Fingerprints Saturday (MOST not working well) and photos being taken Sunday. Devices were handheld scanner/camera/photo viewers. CERTAINLY to be a slower method if not manned properly.

My DL photo is on a database, my work id photo is on a database, my facebook photos is out there on the web, every time I walk into a store, my face is stored on their security system hard drive. I guess now I'll have to wait for people to pull out their photo ids from their fanny pack.

The bigger point I was originally making is we don't know if they're just taking a picture, or if they're storing your face (and facial telemetry) in a computer so that the COMPUTER can automatically identify who you are. If I get stopped by a cop, he doesn't 'scan my face' with a handheld machine to see if the computer knows that I'm the guy on my DL. HOWEVER: if I put my pic on Facebook and tag myself? NOW you will notice that Facebook 'knows it's you' and will suggest tags in future pics (depending on how you have your FB privacy set up). Major difference between the two. Pictures that PEOPLE will look at to identify me is ok by me. Pictures that COMPUTERS will look at (using an algorithm) to identify me without human assistance? Not ok. Call me a bit paranoid, but we all feel 'secure' or 'insecure' about certain things in this tech world. Everyone has a different idea of how much 'too much' really is. Clarified![]()
