I would welcome a chain like Kava or Mezeh, not any literal fast food chain though. It would be a downright lie to say that the worst day at Marco Polo is better than the worst day at any Kava/Mezeh/Chipotle.

Respectfully, I disagree. When I go to BGW, I want to try foods (or at least recipes) that I can only get at BGW. Going to BGW only to eat my regular bowl from Cava or Mezeh, both of which I can get by driving 5 minutes from my house, doesn’t excite me. It only serves to take me out of BGW’s special “bubble” and instead make me think about the “real world.”

Additionally, outsourcing to restaurants like those means that BGW would lose control over those menus, spelling the end of seasonal dishes or foods for special events. If you watch YouTube interviews with KD’s Executive Chef, Chef Denis, he cites this as a key reason for his wanting to continue replacing chain restaurants at KD with in-house eateries. More control over the recipes, variety, and quality — and more uniqueness, more of things you can only get at the park.

AND Zaxby’s is FAR superior to Chik-fil-A. Zax sauce > Chick-fil-A sauce 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Maybe it's just me but Zaxby's is bland as hell, it makes ranch dressing seem spicy. Not saying CFA sauce is amazing either, but at least it's got some kind of flavor.

Otherwise, I don't want to see either in a theme park. I can get behind a park version of the Mediterranean options you described, but definitely as a park eatery and not a chain location.

On the topic of White Castle, can any informed Virginian inform me why we don’t have any WC locations? I’m craving a White Castle burger but can’t stoop so low as buying the shit frozen version. I know VA has had a history with Jack in the Box, but what’s the deal with White Castle?

White Castle is a regional chain located in about a dozen or so states primarily in the midwest with some locations in New York and New Jersey. Every store is company owned so they do not allow franchising that major chains like McDonalds or Burger King do. This keeps them from having a national footprint.

There is a Zaxby’s location in Short Pump where if you go at the right time of day, it’s the best fast food chicken sandwich you’ll ever have. Pickles are fat slabs. Every time I eat one of those things, I say to myself there is no reason for a fast food sandwich to taste so gooood haha. It was a strong highlight of the week. And Zax sauce is just a cheap comeback sauce, could def use more kick I agree.

But the real winner is Hot Lolas up in Arlington. IMO they have the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had

Not going out there for fast food - and seriously, maybe it was the location but the last one I had left me thoroughly unimpressed. But again, I don't like the idea of chains in a park.

I might have to find a location and try it the one in Williamsburg was really bad up till it got shut down.

Since it's rarely open during normal times, O'taters would be a perfect location. I'm not even joking. I love O'taters too, but I'd take a guaranteed taste instead of the lottery of food quality I've had in the past 2 years throughout the park

I would be afraid that the location would be to small and would lead to the path becoming bottle necked with over flow.

I'm trying to picture how much bigger Kings dominions line area is, I know they have indoor seating there so I'm not considering that.

KD has the double line setup I would guess that it's about twice the sizeand still has out the door waits many days. The line backed up out the door and near the path on several occasions during Mardi Gras.

Or how about NO! Really what Busch should be doing is pushing for more hires in order to reopen their eateries which for the most part baring a few exceptions have really good crews and food. The service could be a little better though with all things considered in all that's where they should invest in and not outsourcing to fast food places which as far as I'm concerned would reduce the value of the park experience.

This thread is off topic at this point… as for the actual topic- if they were to actually do a cfa location in the park- could see La Cucina get replaced with a CFA… and it would actually get some foot traffic back there.
