The post above is a-okay, but I just want to proactively make sure no one follows it up with links per our rules!
Why on Earth is the music so loud in this show? So much so, that there is distortion. It is a disservice to the performers when we can't understand what they are singing. The same applies to Phantoms. We didn't have these issues during the summer months. Why now?

Outside of a select few, the shows at BGW have really gone downhill in the past 5-10 years. The music choices have gotten too modern. It feels like I'm watching a Six Flags show.
Most of those songs have been in the show since it first debuted in Williamsburg in the early 2000s. They are songs that are easily recognizable to almost everybody, which is why I actually prefer the Williamsburg version slightly to the one in Orlando. Orlando took most of the same scenes and tricks from Williamsburg, but they made the soundtrack more modern.

Yeah. Our Monster Stomp on Ripper Row is the original and, if you ask me, our setlist is notably better than the version produced for SeaWorld later on.
MSoRR, while dated, is one of the few good things left at HOS in my opinion.
One of the Monster Stomp drummers has posted a couple of rehearsal videos on YouTube showing what goes into learning the Monster Stomp drumming.
He has other videos on his channel from the Italy shows he was in as well. Photos and videos from employee areas and rehearsals used to be prohibited. Perhaps he got special permission.

They are intense and play with force. They broke a knife during the 2:15 show yesterday. A 3" piece of the end flew off and stopped at the edge of the stage. It was impressive.
Out of curiosity, did anyone visit HOS on 10/19/25? I went for a bit during the daytime and caught the 2:30 showing of this, and experienced what I have never seen or heard of the show do before—a show cancelation MID-SHOW. Everything through the knife drumming happened and then as soon as that finished, one of the techs came over the mic and said that the remainder of the show was cancelled. Didn’t specify anything as to why, though. A group sitting next to us said they think they saw one of the actors fall hard after the scene where they off the cop. Specifically, the actor that picks up the cop over their shoulder and carries them off stage. If anyone else went on 10/19, did they do any of the additional showtimes afterward?
Yes, its happened to me during a past performance of Scrooged No More and during one of the Celtic Fyre Christmas shows. I never did get any explanation. Lights came on and we exited.
They did more showings later that day. I went to the 4:30 showing and I had friends who went to the 7:00 showing.
I was there for the 2:30 show as well as the 4:30 show. Didn’t see anything off during the 2:30 show but I did hear the same “that person fell hard” after it was cancelled so I could have easily missed it. I believe the 4:30 show was reblocked, so there could be some truth to what @Coasternerd and I heard.
Based on several rehearsal and behind-the-scenes videos one of the drummers posted, the actor who picks up the cop and carries him off stage is actually one of the drummers. If he fell hard, he might have been injured and was able to make it through the knife routine but then couldn't continue. They might not have been able to do the rest of the show with only 3 drummers, hence the mid-show cancellation. However, there is an understudy drummer, so they could have called him to come to the park so they could do the rest of the shows that day.
I have a stupid question. Can anyone explain to me why monster stomp never starts at the same time as hos begins. Like I understand the stage takes awhile to prep and the dancers/singers need some time to do rehearsals. But like this theater has over 4 weeks to prep and open in time for the start of hos. Does it really need 8 weeks from now for us to see the first show.
There are likely some very nuanced and specific justifications BGW would give, but it's ultimately money. It's a major, costly stage show that eats a lot of resources to run. I hate the stratification of the HOS experience that results, but I would rather that than see the show's budget/cast cut further or, worse, to lose the show all together.
Even if we have to put up with some scheduling bullshit so the park can save some cash, our current HOS show lineup is crazy robust and massively outpaces anything found at any other United Parks property—including those with upcharge HOS events. BGW has had to make some unsavory adjustments to enable that to continue under the current corporate structure, but it's respectable that BGW has managed to hang on to what they have in my book.
Even if we have to put up with some scheduling bullshit so the park can save some cash, our current HOS show lineup is crazy robust and massively outpaces anything found at any other United Parks property—including those with upcharge HOS events. BGW has had to make some unsavory adjustments to enable that to continue under the current corporate structure, but it's respectable that BGW has managed to hang on to what they have in my book.
The lineup is all the more impressive since each show seems to have its own distinct cast. I know there are some swings at BGW but it feels like other parks lean on one or two sets of performers to cover all the shows.
Some performers of monster stomp said today was the first day they were able to finally do rehearsals on stage. I wanted to ask why but didn't have time to learn more.
