I assume the official stylization of the "Monster Jam Freestyle Ride Truck Experience" looks more like this:

[Engine Revving Noises] MONSTER JAM! [Heavy Metal Guitar Riff] FREESTYLE RIDE! [Air Horn Blasts] TRUCK EXPERIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENCE [Roaring Crowd Noises]

I noticed a new concrete pathway poured between Dominator and Berserker leading to the paved area between the Season Pass Processing Center and the bus parking lot. Maybe there?

According to the comments on KD's Facebook site, someone asked about the location for this event. KD responded "Near Dominator". So I think you might be on to something. Sorry, the Volcano location will be bare for summer 2019.

Never forget that dude was a nihilist. Say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, at least it's an ethos.

Fun fact: Flea also briefly filled in on bass for Oingo Boingo.

It appears that Monster Jam is a "One of" attraction/experience (at least for Cedar Fair). Starts at Cedar Point and runs from mid-May through late June; then, at KD from late July through early Sept; finally ends up at Dorney Park from mid-Sept to late Oct.

Not sure if this is a "test" for a future attraction or one of those CF corporate events to draw in more folks during the late summer (for KD). I am not gazing in any crystal ball to predict anything for the park at this point.

100% this is a market test to get some outside IP in the parks, possibly through physical attractions. Especially for an entertainment outlet that relies on merchandise sales like Monster Jam, it's something Cedar Fair and Monster Jam can both potentially benefit from.

This is different from their previous partnership with EA doing that Plants vs. Zombies ride, as PvZ was a mobile market game and didn't rely on merchandise sales at all. Cedar Fair (and EA) didn't really benefit from that partnership.

TL;DR - Cedar Fair is trying to pull a Six Flags because they can't keep collecting from Peanuts, figuratively and literally.

They seem to think "a lot" of people will be interested in these events. Granted I do think Monster Trucks do appeal to quite a few folks out there.

Feld Entertainment has been around since the 1960's. They were the last owners of Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus (Disbanded 2017). They seem oriented mainly toward shows and immersive experiences. They own or licensed for the following intellectual properties/themes:
  • Monster Jam
  • Monster AMA Supercross
  • Disney on Ice
  • Disney Live
  • Marvel Universe Live
  • Sesame Street Live
  • Trolls the Experience
  • Jurassic World Live Tour

Most of the brands they produce for are Disney Oriented. I think the "Monster" related IP is theirs. The one immersive themed environment they produced is DreamWorks Trolls IP in NYC. They are pretty high-end productions. Course, the "Monster Jam" IP is not exactly "high-brow".

The press release for the CF "Monster Jam" touring event quoted the following from Richard Zimmerman, Cedar Fair's CEO: "We look forward to further collaboration on additional compelling entertainment and experiences." So I would expect more entertainment/experiences coming from Feld.

Wow, the press release literally uses the term "immersive" in the first sentence. My mind is actually blown right now I am genuinely struggling to process this. Great work Cedar Fair, keep it up.

EDIT: There's no way this is real. Once again, props to the PFN staff for creating such a surreal April Fools Day Prank for all of us.
