Still looking for the list of tunes.

And... to what extent are performers in Mix-it-Up and the other shows free to ad-lib or go outside the boundaries of rehearsed and choreographed movements, scripts, and music solos. In Mix-it-Up!, for example, there are a few (too) short spots for brief instrumental solos. Can the musician leave the scripted pretty Louis Armstrong riff and throw down some John Coltrane?

They are given almost zero flexibility to go off script. Some leeway may be given for special occasions like the last performance of the season.

Not sure exactly what it's for but Atlantis speculated that it could be for Ristorante della Piazza's stage so...

The park filed for permit A-130252 with the description of "REBUILD PLATFORM AT ITALY PAVILLION" on the 22nd. Rebuilt stage structure this year?

Could it have something to do with that small area off the back of the wine shop. I sometimes like to sit there. it might be expanding for Gelato-related reasons...

Perhaps there was an accident where the platform or the front of the stage was damaged, such as inclement weather or such and it needs rebuilding, or perhaps they are rebuilding it to be permanent rather than a somewhat temporary expansion of the stage.

One of my trusted sources has confirmed that it's for the replacement of Ristorante della Piazza's stage. Don't necessarily expect any real visible changes though as it's fairly likely that they're simply rebuilding the current one.

Same as last year. A lot of return musicians. Slightly different stage. I guess it works for having people play in tiers up front and to the sides, but all I could think was one of the percussionists was going to fall off the steps with their snare drums or xylophones. ;)

The stage regained a lot of its original features like the roman style walls vs those wooden ones they have had the past few years. Water fountains weren't on but I wouldn't rule out them making a return.
