Saw this one at 7:00 last night and it was pretty good. The singers were formidable and the choreography/dancing was spot on as well. One thing that the show still lacks is a consistent scenario, and that's probably my biggest gripe. Deck the Halls is a Christmas party, Gloria is an account of the Nativity, but Miracles's story is unclear or nonexistent entirely. Regardless, the performers did a great job with what they were given. Enjoyable, powerful show, but I think it could greatly furthered with an over-arching plot.

Honestly, Mix It Up never had a story or a plot. Just random chefs dancing and playing instruments. Personally, I think for the type of venue it is in, it will be fine. When your eating your food watching a show you don't want to have to pay attention to a story. You would be more concerned about your food. So not having a story is probably better for restaurant theaters.

I believe TIO doesn't have an actual storyline or plot, just a bunch of famous traditional German songs together in a show.

I don't think the lack of a story is an issue but for some reason, after watching it again yesterday, I realized that I'm really just not a fan of the show. The cast is fine- probably at least as good as last year's- but the show just doesn't do anything for me. :-/

Just a note, after seeing an older post: that's an electronic keyboard in the piano shell. However only two singers actually played it; Sonja Nyquist Ambrosino in 2011, and this year's lead diva.

(The choreography is, necessarily, different this year, and so are the lighting sequences. They're overdoing it with the mauve and blue spotlights, though.)

Scott Gasparich and his camera entourages were at the last showing of Miracles last night, taking video for most likely another promo. And you could tell because the actors were perfect, and so was the show, not to mention that it was the only show where I could pick out 2 actors from the main season.

Awesome! I wish I was there for that showing, I went to the one before it. I should've stayed! But it was freezing, so I went to see Deck The Halls.
