Saw Miracles for the last time this season on the 30th. It was cute because there was this one table who would start cheering every time a certain female dancer twirled, jumped, or really did anything...I'm guessing they were her family or friends.

So with Dig It Up, and now Miracles, is there possible work on the stage or theatre in the plans? Seem odd that both shows in the same area are cancelled. Or, is it easier to shutter one area for the rest of the year instead of two different areas in the onslaught of cutbacks?

In a way, I would love to see Il Teatro di San Marco get a retractable roof, but I don't see why it would cut in to Miracles. It shouldn't take that long to install. Especially since this is the show that needs it the most. Maybe they are just playing it safe. My only problem with this, is that if any of this is to be believed, It would mean that Deck the Halls would yet again outlive another great show. However, I have heard talks about possible changes to the stage in Das Festhaus.

While I never saw this show, I always felt bad for the dancers. No one should be asked to perform outside in the winter in Virginia. The bitter cold on their muscles combined with the increased potential for a slippery stage has to have put all of them in danger of a career-ending injury.

I know moving inside would be a better solution than canceling the show altogether, but regardless I can't imagine dancing in San Marco in December.

The dancers came out before the show and checked the stage for slipperiness. It was just an amazing show. Although I do agree moving it to the globe, instead of replacing it with what sounds to be a disaster would've been a better idea.
