Yes. Christmas Town does not start until the following weekend. This weekend (Nov. 6 & 7) there is no event, but the park is open. Apollo's Chariot may be open as well in the list I had above. I see no reason why they'd skip a weekend of operation before CT but I don't know for certain.

Personally I love the idea of blocking off a third of the park during the Members application event. It just brings back all those great memories from 2020.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one horseboy. In 46 years of going to BGW I would have to say today was the absolute worst I have ever seen. Italy was blocked off completely. Even though the handout at the gate said the catapult was open. No, it wasn't. You couldn't get to it. There was NO Christmas Town merchandise available. They had tons of HOS merchandise they were still trying to unload and it wasn't on sale. I think there were more attractions (Rides and other locations) closed than open. It is/was cold enough with a slight drizzle. Unless you wanted to eat the same old food at the Festhaus you could let your food get wet and cold as you tried to eat. As for the "special surprise" of a scratch off card. We had one for a free box of popcorn and another one for 10% off your food or beverage purchase. The 10% couldn't be used with a season pass/membership discount. It just flat didn't work. The cashiers tried but it wasn't programmed into the computers. I have never seen such a poorly organized excuse for a park opening ever. After all of my years at BGW I have to say my wife and I are seriously considering calling it quits. We were hoping for an experience to encourage us to continue on with our passes after all these years. If anything; today did just the opposite. IMHO they should have just continued to decorate for next week and stayed closed this weekend.

So like I said it brings back all those "great" memories of TWENTY TWENTY.

BTW, the surprise cards are good for multiple uses today and tomorrow.
Um that apparently depends on what staff member cashes you out I was told that they were one use only and have to be taken.

From what I can tell, most of the member handouts are the 10%

The amount of typos on that flyer from the first tweet is insane. Holy shit. How did that thing get approved? At least four of the attraction names are misspelled, "Town" isn't capitalized in "Christmas Town," the list goes on...

2 JCC police and 2 BGW guards had the entire section blocked from the Mercantile to the pottery when we walked by at about 1:30 or 2. I guess it opened later.
