Mako looks fun. Nothing I'd go out of my way for, but I'm sure I'll cross paths with it at some point.

I am also very curious where the unaccounted Mack is going.

I think as long as they don't trim it to death it will be fine. SEAS doesn't own a bad B&M IMHO. I know there are some not so great B&Me out there, they're just not at SEAS parks. I also feel like the POV's physics were tampered with and the speed just seemed totally inaccurate in the video. I'm excited none-the-less and they better not trim it.

Lastly I need know who the hell else is getting a Mack in Florida this year!

Busch Gardens Tampa is getting a Mack, I haven't heard of another one being announced.

I hope Mako doesn't suffer bad publicity over the many unusual shark attacks that have occurred this year. Other than that, I am obviously excited for this coaster. I am perhaps even more excited about the newly themed realm to accompany this ride. I see so many opportunities for the landscaping department to make the beauty of the park more consistent. The shark encounter area is one of the few areas left that looks almost "stuck in the 70's".

This seems to be yet another attraction that will encompass what I like about SeaWorld. I have always appreciated our ocean and being able to visit the beach. Yet today, fewer people (including our next generation) are getting chances to connect with the largest part of our planet. I hope that this area (and new coaster) will be a closer step to making that connection more accessible to everyone.

Is it me or does construction in Florida always seem to move slower?

I mean granted they don't exactly deal with harsher winters so they can take their time, but still.

Universal would like to have a word with you.

I'm visiting in early April and while I'm fairly confident the ride won't be open based on previous experience of construction, I'm still excited to see the Shark Realm. That portion of the park feels very outdated and was definitely in need of some TLC. Are they doing any work to Shark Encounter? Here's the logo for Mako if anyone is wondering:

This!

The speed at which Universal built the Wizarding World at IOA and Diagon Alley at the Studios is mind-boggling. Transformers The Ride went up pretty fast as well.

As far as Mako construction goes, I don't see what is so slow about it. This isn't a regular coaster being installed. This is a coaster with a very large footprint. And in addition to Mako, the park is redoing the 2 acre plaza where the ride will be located. So there's a lot more construction going on than just a coaster.

Not only those two, but we were at Universal last year in October and nothing could be seen from Skull Island. Fast forward a year and it's a completely new place. Avatar is speeding right along as well at DAK from our trip last year. That thing looks like a steel mess. I can't believe people know where all those parts actually go to make the end product. Coasters are just bolt together after getting the footings in place.
