News Magic Kingdom Project 2030 (?): Villains Land

Tonight at D23 Disney took the villains land blue sky pitch and made it into a commitment to a new villains-themed land for Magic Kingdom with two major attractions! Timeline is still unspecified and the attractions are unknown, but it is happening (reportedly)!

Disappointed this is a land and not a park. Disney has so many great villains with so much depth to it.

Until they come out with more concept art, and a real timeline this is still blue sky. When Iger retires (again) and if the company has more bad quarters, some of these things announced may never see the light of day. Disney has a LONG history (going back to Walt's time at Disneyland) of announcing things then just quietly letting them get forgotten.

Well, not the full loop at least— just back and forth between Fantasyland and Main Street.

Are we sure it just wont stop at Frontierland and continue onto Fantasyland? Akin to how the ChristmasTown Express doesnt stop at England and Festa?

No— they’ve actually been testing it several mornings pulling into Main Street and backing up to Fantasyland. They’re even turning some of the benches in each car to face the other direction. Just one train operating each day shuttling back and forth.

Except who will ride it more than once? There is NO scenery at all in that section, so it's really just for the train fans and people wanting to sit for a few minutes.
