RE: Mäch Tower

this ride is just disappointing me I've been waiting too ride all spring and it still hasn't open. everytime I go to work I walk past and just smh lol. come on bg! hopefully it's open by July

RE: Mäch Tower

To be honest I'm still not excited about it. As far as I see it, it's just another (short) drop tower.

RE: Mäch Tower

Don't believe it. I highly doubt the vibrating seats have anything to do with the problems they're having.

RE: Mäch Tower

The real issue with Mach Tower is as follows. One of the compression pieces for the magnets failed during a drop, causing the vehicle to hit the ground. The car suffered no damage, apparently/obviously much to the delight of management. All of the compression pieces have been checked out and they figured out what caused the failure (I don't know what that is) and a new compression piece is coming from Italy.

i'm sure there is a reason but why didn't have someone like the newport news shipyard make the parts.seems like this italy company had its chance.then when the part/parts were finished they could put it on a truck and would be a 20 min deleivery time.think it would speed up the time to get the ride up and running.

RE: Mäch Tower

When you buy a new ford, do you go to some fab shop to get it fixed when it breaks? No. You go to ford because it is a new vehicle. Although, I'm sure a fab shop would be able to replicate said part in a decent amount of time, but it would be dumb not to get a factory part from moser. (who already has the part and they know it works the way they want it to).

You took the words right out of my mouth. Why pay someone else to do what Moser should have done right in the first place.

RE: Mäch Tower

ok ok ok 2 problems.1)the part DIDN'T work the way they wanted it to or,since i'm going to ride this ride, the way i wanted it to work.2)if you have a ford you have to take it to a fab shop to get it fixed because it has to be worked on so much ford=fixed or repaired daily haha.go chevy and the 24 team at mis.

RE: Mäch Tower

LOL. It is a piece of machinery and peices will fail. None of them are perfect. one fault means nothing in the grand scheme.

How can newport news ship building do that when their new never deployed carriers are already in Norfolk naval fixing NN's mistakes.

RE: Mäch Tower

i doubt a piece that compresses a magnet would be high on the list of a ship building company. Anyways, yea, it's moser's parts. Hopefully they don't fail ever again, but just so you know, I don't think i'm going to ride this ride...

RE: Mäch Tower

yea i think i'll wait for the ride to be running for awhile before i ride it.wrecks while i'm on it them saying sorry a part failed not going to cut it.does anyone know if they have the new parts yet or not?

RE: Mäch Tower

I totally agree with y'all...I won't ride until about a month after it opens and the park deems it as safe

really? ...bc bgw is going to open...a thrill ride...a drop tower...to the public that is not safe... ...wow guys...think before typing...you do realize problems happen with new installs all the time right? and they have forever...the only reason you know anything now is bc technology has allowed this forum to exist and enthusiasts and park workers who are around said park all the time...someone is bound to hear something...stay off for a month and leave that open seat for someone who wants it...
