This was posted on one of bush gardens discussion blogs. "The Mach Tower I think will open in may. I talked to one of the construction people and they said it is going to play like mysterious music while your going up. Then when is about 200 feet the vibrating seats come in. Then they said at the top the seats will tilt out about 35 degrees then drops you."
I hope this is correct.

Last year about this time they released an update/announcement for the ireland revamp. I know we already got a major announcement, but some construction pics or pictures of the new oktoberfest from BGW would be much appreciated.

Mach Tower, Beer Garden and Pretzel shop are all supposed to be part of the Oktoberfest renovation.

From interviews I have seen, they plan to open the 2012 coaster in March, which would imply that it would open at least almost with the park's opening. They haven't opened an attraction with the park in a while, but if they're shooting for it with the coaster, it seems like the drop tower could easily open with the park.

Busch made a big deal out of the announcement last September. They combined multiple announcements and included Water Country USA as well to generate as much hype has possible. I think the park knows that EiTA failed; its standing in the park is well known just from walking by it. The park knew that a big announcement had to be made. So, I disagree. I think the addition of this tower ride is a bigger deal for the park and a benchmark for new management. Plus, it's a much larger addition as it is a massive thrill ride as compared to an indoor family ride like EiTA. I don't believe all additions are equal for a park at all. A roller coaster is much different from a kids ride, etc.
