Chris received some new information tonight about Mach Tower. Basically employee ERT was delayed because Moser couldn't get their testing done in time with all the bad weather we've been having. This is exactly what I've been told as well. Sounds like good news, right? Well it doesn't end there. During this delay, Moser has found yet another "problem" with Mach Tower that needs fixing. Yep, more waiting. As someone put it in a PM: "The whole situation is becoming laughable"

Yeah the tower is fine. It's just every moving part on it that is having problems. :p

I've just been contacted by a very trustworthy source who reports that they heard the Italian Moser technicians talking about how "It broken" in reference Mach Tower. Apparently they even tried to blame the park's maintenance team for the latest trouble.

If I hear more, I'll pass it along.

Also, I don't know if this means anything to anyone, but the source also said something about hearing that a "projection thing" was to blame for the latest trouble. Anyone know what that could be?

Could be a projection of time. Like the park rushing them along based on an old projected time of completion?

Saturday the raised the catch car for a time around lunch. I didn't pay much attention after that the rest of the day.

Wow. This is terrible. Another problem? Quite Frankly I dont see how a time projection can be a problem, Because Moser would have told Busch upfront what they could and could not do. If they didnt, now they are paying for it.

But another problem... Wow.

Apparently my crack about riding it the same day "Verbolten" opened is becoming more and more true... I was just joking about it, too.

Projection as in part projection or preformance projection? My thought is that when they were designing it and manufacturing the parts they thought the tower was going to be a certain way but now that its actually built the might of proved that a projection of there design was wrong.

I'm torn. I can seen both sides of this. Sure, i'm disappointed that i'll have to wait longer to ride it, but i'm also willing to wait for them to work out all the kinks. It could be a case of everyone being overly cautious in light of the earlier hicups, sorta like when the Space Shuttle launch is scrubbed because the needle on a dashboard gauge is twitching. I'd rather them iron out the problems during testing then after people start riding it.

But I sure would like to ride it sooner rather than later.

No solid info about what the exact issue is, but apparently there was a cable hanging from the top of the tower to the base recently and no testing was happening.

I was at Busch Gardens yesterday and saw the Mach Tower. I talked to the man that worked there standing in front of the fence under an umbrella and asked him when it would be running. He said they have one more test to run, then get everyone trained on how to work it and it would be ready by next week. He seemed to know what he was talking about. I cant wait until next week.

Lets face facts If you ask the same guy next week he's going to say next week it will open.
Then the following week he says the same thing.
Next week never comes.

With all of these problems and delays, I was wondering today, will they ever work out all the problems and be able to operate it normally for years to come? Could this ride be a lemon? Will it be another Drachen Fire that will be around only until the park is tired of dealing with it?
