Also it would be awesome if they had a mini doughnuts, nothing would be better than a basket of mini doughnuts to take on the train for a ride around the park.
I think my daughter would agree with you on this any other opinions be damned! Two of her favorite things trains and DOUGHNUTS lol warm doughnuts on a train during ct would be great :)

Have any of you had the donut from Universal in the Springfield section? Look great, worst donut I’ve ever had. Looks aren’t anything.
This is quite sad. :( :( :( I would hope they would be the best ever because of the crucial role the donuts play in The Simpsons lol

It's not bad, it's just big. And cake based. With a very sugar frosting. And sugar sprinkles.

If they went to a different dough, creamcheese based frosting, lass sprinkles, it would be so much better.

I thought the Springfield Doughnuts were delicious. They are very muck alike the Joffreys Doughnuts sold across the Disney Parks only larger.

Stopped by today to check on the doughnuts and some today were almost the size of a Krispy Kreme doughnut and some were very small. The cinnamon and the chocolate covered were very small and the chocolate didnt appear to have much of a hole at all. The larger ones though looked great!

They are nothing like KKs. They are fairly good, if you like cake doughnuts. If you scroll through this thread, you will find a fair amount of discussion about them.

I’ve walked by this confectionery thousands of times, but have never even tried a doughnut. How are they? How do they compare to Krispy Kreme?
Nothing compares to Krispy Kreme so it's not a fair question from the start. They are however pretty good. Normally I skip breakfast on park days and get donuts

Where do you fit Duck and Sugar Shack in the rankings?

Does M Sweets ever have a maple bacon donut to compare? I can't remember KK ever having one but I'm only there for a hot glazed anyways.

Personally I don't think that is fair to compare KK and duck. They are so different from each other. For what it's worth BGW is trying to copy Duck with their recipe.

Duck, SS, and Dunkin are all cake based I think while KK is yeast based. However, that shouldn't matter too much when ranking based on favorites.

So @BGWnut, I'd think you'd stack M Sweets wherever you generally stack Duck?

I posted this a while ago but it's worth posting again. When it comes to donuts I take the Garfield philosophy which is: Part of my responsibility in life is to help keep the donut population under control.

It's been about half a year, so I figure I'd dust this thread off -

Does anyone else have a nostalgia flashback when eating decorative fondant/sugar decorations on easter bunnies to those acid dot candy strips?

Alternatively, I'm assuming the pick-your-own candy bag is no longer an option..
