RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

So is that the metal for the spiral staircases, or the 800+ peace signs?:p

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I have heard whispers that the construction will not be finished by the debut date of the show and that work may not even be finished until July at the earliest. I am skeptical to this leak, for specific reasons; however, something more reliable is that work didn't really get started until January.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Do you mean work inside the building, or out in Banbury?(please say in the theatre)

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

the metal in the above picture is the framing for the new stage. Construction is about 1.5 weeks behind. expect it to made up in the month of april. you'll find the peace signs are "hidden" in the actual scenic on stage.

So this premiere has been pushed back a week like MIU. PLUS even now they are short of hands on deck? So, will this still run 16 weeks or does this cut it down to 15 weeks?

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Add to that the date seems to keep moving up. First advertised start dates were the middle of April. Now this says May 1. :( Unless the show begins sooner and they are running the show without this spot operator? Just seems odd, I guess.

Immediate Openings

The text if this evaporates:
Spot Light Operators – We have immediate openings for Spot Operators in the following show:

London Rocks – Spot Operator
– This show is a live rock and roll spectacle featuring dancers and singers. Spot operators would be running spot lights during live show and assisting with maintenance and lighting quality in the theater. Position would begin May 1. 15-40 Hours a week. $11.95 an hour.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Two more positions advertised. Dresser/Wardrobe Technician (Entertainment - Show Operations) and Entertainment Technician (Costuming and Crafts Laundry). Again, seems late in the game. What is interesting to me is the dates.

Must be able to begin work on 5/1/14 and work until 12/31/14. Be a part of Busch Gardens exciting new show London Rocks!

This show was slated until August. Are they counting the HOS & CT shows in the Globe or do they now plan to run LR that long?

I think those people will carry over to the other shows instead of having to let people go and then hire new people for each show each event, they just said, you can work three shows, starting with London Rocks!

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

They will probably be classified as variable. Meaning they can work the full length of employment that is listed; however, their hours will vary and they may end up not working for a week or two here or there and their hours may be limited occasionally.

There is going to be a media event this Tuesday for both London Rocks and WCUSA. From what it sounds like, this is going to be a hard hat tour of sorts.

Who's invited?

Trade press, Main stream Media?

Or Busch Gardens Personal army of Mommy Bloggers?

I Hope A Park Enthusiast site in some way shape or form got an invite.

Just my thoughts.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I'm not sure exactly who got every invite, but yes print media, TV, and some websites will be represented.

LR will end in august...expect hos and cmt...PR is right with the variable guess. To address BGW Family. The show is double casted. As you can imagine it's hard to find qualified people for one show...let alone two. I'd say they've hired most of the show. To be worried about a craigslist post is foolish. Rehearsals begin the 26th. More to follow......

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

According to PR, "The theme of the show is 'All you need is love' and according to the VP, the show will follow British invasion rock'n roll music throughout the ages all leading up to today."

So far I have seen Queen and the Beatles confirmed. Bowie was in the preview, as well.

Not sure if I missed anything?
