RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

So, will the Globe still be called the Globe? You know considering it wouldn't fit the time anymore after the re-theme.

Technically the Globe was in London so it would fit even more, they just don't care about time periods.

Hahaha...The Beatles entering a jousting tournament just popped in my head.

So I did drop some news in today, but here is some more news!

The theme of the show is "All you need is love" and according to the VP, the show will follow British invasion rock'n roll music throughout the ages all leading up to today. So I am expecting the finale song to be a popular british rock'n roll song from one of the last three or so years.

The show will have rehearsal previews like Entwined May 16th with the show debuting on May 23rd.

The show will be playing approximately 6 to 8 time per day with shows starting early in the morning so guests have something to do as soon as they walk in and then shows going into the evening.

Are you sure you don't mean from the 60s and 70s?

This is a very small list, but just for a reference:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Billboard_Hot_100_number-ones_by_British_artists

There is some great music in that list AND some not so great music. I hope they stick with more Rock-N-Roll and not drift too much into Pop. Since it's music up through today, what do you think they'll end with?

This list is righteous! Starting with Floyd in 1980. Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Yes, Eurythmics, Genesis, Police, Culture Club, none of which will be in this show most likely. Fleetwood Mac british? (Stevie Nicks is from AZ and Lindsey Buckingham is from CA.)

After looking through a few sites, there has been some incredible British music throughout the years. I'm not too sure how the puppets will work into the mix, but I'm excited to see how the show will turn out. I think a lot will have to do with the actors they choose, I think in many cases, acting will make or break a show. No different than with Night Beats when everyone posted about how it was an OK show with a rocky start, but once everyone got some experience it became an awesome show.

For Fleetwood Mac, I guess they formed the group in London, which I guess makes them a British band:

If the music is to today, expect Spice Girls and (dare I say it?) One Direction!

You know what I want, what I really, really want? That this show goes to the dark side of the moon, and hopefully the actors won't be in a land of confusion. But you know me, I can't get no satisfaction. Maybe we can work it out, because I'm a believer.

Y'all are missing an entire genre of amazing British music. New Order, the Cure, the Smiths, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Electronic, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Erasure, Yaz,...

And, yes, I know that I have just included eveything from punk to synth pop, and that some of these bands started in the 70s...but it is all fantastic 80s alternative British music.
