RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I highly doubt it will be Sesame Street style puppets.  Puppets could mean hundreds of things.  Even the "balloons" they brought at passmember appreciation could be considered puppets.  Basically, a puppet is a object controlled by wires, strings or sticks.

Grapevine says this show is worse than I had imagined. My expectations were already but after some messages sent me to recently, they should have been lower.

Not meaning this to be confrontational, but if you have info that you cannot divulge to protect a source, why give no information but give negativity? Or, at least say that it is a source issue so people don't have to ask. I have friends "inside" as well, and if I get info that I cannot pass on, I say nothing at all. It causes less confusion.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I completely agree BGWF, and it probably is the case in this instance, but this site had been touted as an "Inside Information" site, if the information being talked about is too "Inside" then it shouldn't be brought up in the public forum.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

This scenario is no different from Entwined. First, we were warned that the show would be bad. Nobody believed it. Then, we saw the dress rehearsal. Still, those with a negative attitude about the show were beaten down because of their negativity. And guess who was right in the end?

Atlantis did nothing wrong here. He is sharing with us a warning to not expect much from the show. I don't see what is "confusing" about that.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

When someone like Atlantis states something like that, what everyone should do is think about what he has said in the past, whether or not his info has been good, and how his opinions on past things align with your own. If you think the post is worthless, ignore it. No one is forcing anyone to accept his opinion.

STOP FORCING ACCEPTANCE OF OTHERS ON ME!! THIS ISNT YOUR SOCIAL PLATFORM!! IT BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE AND WE CAN BE AS HATEFUL TOWARDS EACHOTHER'S OPINIONS AS WE WANT!!!

Zach, that "you don't have to read it" stuff could be applied to every single post on this site(including mine), but to tell people to come read this forum, but ignore this if you don't agree is bogus. What are we here for other than to comment on other people's posts....especially if we don't agree with it?

The problem with posts like that is a phenomenon known as "Social Proof" (I'll post a link for the definition). When people who read this go into that building, unconsciously, many will already have in their heads that it's a bad show and it will become a "find the faults" session. Whether it's a bad or good show, that is unfair to the entire crew, cast and everyone involved in it's creation who deserve and unbiased assessment of their work. All that comment does it keep adding to the pre-judgement of a show that hasn't even hired actors, but instead of being speculation, it has now become fact without any kind of details as to why.

Protecting friends is higher priority than appeasing the wants of a few internet names.

Well, I think this may be more along the lines of an impetus for a Bandwagon Effect. Regardless, I don't think Zach's comment is too invalid; if you disregard the rumors that Atlantis has heard, it won't affect your thinking of the show the first time you see it.

The phenomenon of Social Proof is unavoidable within the context of entertainment. It's almost impossible to go see a movie without hearing someone's opinions of it in conversation or online. Sure, it can have an effect on your perception of the film's quality, but how many times do you see a movie and totally disagree with the opinions or reviews you've heard? I'd imagine that happens all the time. I think Social Proof applies more to a response in the moment, though, such as the effect that laugher or applause will cause in a crowd, than anything you've heard prior to experiencing it for yourself. I don't think it's as relevant in this situation.
